Tanda enjoys reading and writing books. Introduction

There are thousands upon thousands of authors each year taking the leap to self-publish their books.  It may seem like a daunting task at first, but after you publish a couple books, this venture will seem like a breeze.  This book was written to make the self-publishing endeavor seem more easily approachable and promising. 

There are free publishing platforms (websites) that can make the road you’re about to travel seem a lot more inviting.  And we’ll get into the pros and cons of those platforms.

There are some serious steps to the self-publishing venture, like: getting your book copyright protected, obtaining your ISBN, choosing eBook, paperback or both, designing a book cover, editing, marketing and more.  Questions will arise in your mind such as: Should I get someone to do my Foreword?  Do I need a Foreword?  Who can I get to check my spelling and grammar?  How many copies of my paperback should I get printed?  These are valid questions.  And we will cover most of these points.

This book is like having cliff notes to the self-publishing process.  Prior to publishing my books, I watched several instructional videos and purchased a publishing self-help book with over 500 pages.  At first, I thought How can I get through all this?  Now I’ve come to rely upon it as a resource which I use at least two to three times a year.  That large book takes it from a research perspective, but also has tons of practical advice from a person who is a best-selling author.  I
