How’s Your Mental Health In The Middle Of A Pandemic

Mental health is rarely talked about in the midst of a global pandemic.

Mental health on us all young middle age and the old we all need to be looked at concerning our mental health.  So we will take a look at each group and analyze our mental health. There are a lot of people who have caught this dreadful disease. There are reports all over the world of the after  effects this Covid-19 is having on the world population.

I will be looking at data documentation and sources to put together

a complete picture and reality we all will have to live with as well as deal with. This is to check on you. Yes you, did you know that over a quarter of us are suffering from mental health pandemic whip lash to your brian to our bodies. Do you find yourself being anxious? Anxious simply means"full of mental distress or uneasiness because of fear of danger or misfortune; greatly worried; apprehensive: for example

Her parents were anxious about her poor health." Most people have no idea that they have pandemic whiplash. As the country is in turmoil, we find ourselves with a large portion of the country refusing to believe this covid is real. Even though their family members, neighbors and friends

have perished from the horrible virus. I have lost two of my best friends to this virus, two of my neighbors have caught this virus.

They have recovered from covid. My brother in law was at death's door and we prayed for deliverance from this virtuous. The

National Center for Biotechnology Information reports on the mental health effects on China's population and I quote"The 2019 novel coronavirus disease emerged in China in late 2019–early 2020 and spread rapidly. China has been implementing emergency psychological crisis interventions to reduce the

negative psychosocial impact on public mental health, but challenges exist. Public mental health interventions should be formally integrated into public health preparedness and emergency response plans." Please if you or someone you know has signs of pandemic whiplash please, please seek help as we need to address this in our population because this is real and it needs to be dealt with before citizens start acting out.

It has been two years of dealing with this disease that has taken over907.190 dead 75.578.076 Americans infected million worldwide.

Just with the people I know who have caught this disease and the after effects that they're still dealing with. Let define this pandemic The novel coronavirus, later designated as COVID-19, is an infectious disease that can spread among humans. It emerged initially in the city of Wuhan in China in late December 2019, when cases of pneumonia of unknown etiology were

reported Following its emergence, it manifested as an outbreak that led to serious public health concerns by the World Health

Organization (WHO), and by mid-March 2020, the WHO declared a global pandemic due to the substantial global-wide spread of the disease affecting many countries By 14 February 2021, over 108 million cases were confirmed worldwide, of which 75.578.07 million cases were reported in the Eastern Mediterranean region

This virus is relentless and

Shows no mercy to any race although it affects black and hispanic more so than their counterparts whites this is in most part due to pre- existing conditions. These conditions can consist of high blood pressure, sugar diabetes, asma, heart failure, neuropathy, poor circulation of blood and so forth. Historically, quarantine has

been a successful measure adopted worldwide in infectious diseases outbreaks; however, it represents an unfavorable experience for the population. Movement restriction, separation from family or friends, limited freedom and fear of an uncertain future are all factors that may exacerbate negative psychological impact as many have protest against lockdown, mask and social distance Large scale outbreaks as previously seen in the SARS epidemic have been associated with higher prevalence of psychological symptoms, emotional disturbance, depression, stress, post-traumatic stress symptoms and irritability Similarly, healthcare workers taking care of patients during the MERS-CoV outbreak in US, Israel, Saudi Arabia, reported feeling afraid and

nervous, mainly about their safety as well as about colleagues and family, and the availability of infection control guidelines literature shows that multiple stressors including longer duration of quarantine, fear of infection, distress, loneliness, boredom, confinement, inadequate information and financial loss, play a role in aggravating poor mental health. Participants were also asked to rate whether they were paying less or more attention to mental health related lifestyle changes during the COVID-19 pandemic using modified and validated questions from the study.

This section included four items; attention to mental health, devoting enough time to rest, to relaxation, and to exercise. The response options were much increased, increased, same as

before, decreased, and much decreased.Participants were also asked to rate whether they were paying less or more attention to mental health related lifestyle changes during the COVID-19 pandemic using modified and validated questions . This section included four items; attention to mental health, devoting enough time to rest, to relaxation, and to exercise. The response options were much increased, increased, same as before, decreased, and much decreased. Findings of this study suggested that participants from the North Africa region were more likely to have higher stress scores compared to those residing in the Gulf and

Levant regions. This study was conducted between May and mid of June 2020. During which, all countries included in the survey

have already declared the state of emergency due to COVID-19.

The number of confirmed cases by mid of June varied widely between MENA countries and ranged between 127 thousand cases in Saudi Arabia and 177 cases in the Syrian Arab Republic .

Moreover, the number of deaths also varied in the same period and ranged between 972 in Saudi Arabia and 6 cases in the Syrian

Arab Republic . Although variation in the number of confirmed cases and deaths were observed between countries and subregions of the MENA, the greatest number of confirmed cases
