NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
If you are holding this book, you might want to know more about me, my international experience and my education. Of course, you also want to know how I got a fully-funded scholarship for a master’s degree programme in the field of public policy and management in Brunei Darussalam and the United States of America (USA).
I assume that none of your acquaintances, friends or relatives have received fully-funded scholarships or studied abroad. If you, your relatives and friends state that a fully- funded scholarship and international education is not available to everyone,
that a free cheese is in the mousetrap,
that only a distinct or a genius student can receive a full-ride scholarship,
then this book is for you.
I will share my personal experience and prove the opposite: that every person in this world has access to international education, and you do not need to be a genius
to get a fully-funded scholarship to study abroad. Yet, to realise this idea of getting a full-ride scholarship, you must at least have a strong desire to put effort into achieving this aim.
Getting a fully-funded scholarship is challenging, but it is possible. I received three scholarships for my undergraduate and graduate schools in Russia, Brunei Darussalam, and the USA.
The purpose of this book is to share the knowledge with potential graduate students on how to apply independently for graduate studies at foreign universities and how to get a fully-funded scholarship, with which their education abroad will be covered. In the book, a background on how I got my first tuition scholarship at the age of 16 from the Ministry of Education of the Stavropol Krai (Territory) in Russia is provided. I also cover how I received a fully-funded scholarship in Moscow for a specialist’s degree in linguistics and how I got a full-ride scholarship to undergo my master’s degree in Public Policy and Management in Brunei Darussalam and the USA. Here, you will also find the guidelines for preparing and applying for graduate school and becoming an ideal candidate for a fully-funded scholarship.
Additionally, I would like to say that while creating this book, I was thinking about contributing to the field of public policy by attracting brighter students from different parts of the world. I wanted to encourage those who wish to continue their education in graduate school and are still hesitant about financial aid.
I sincerely wish the best of luck to all applicants with their admissions. I hope that all those interested will be helped by this book to get a fully-funded scholarship at their dream university!
