To experience life fully, you don’t have to leave yourself behind. You can experience life while still being present in it.

The first step towards meditation is to become aware of your surroundings. The second step is to drop your attention down into your lower body.

The Buddhist concept of mindfulness entails being fully present in the present moment and not trying to control or manipulate it. It entails being intimate with your experience and not abstracting yourself from it.
