    The lights were dimmed, leaving only the neon strobes to illuminate the place. Combined with the thick haze of smoke shrouding the room, it was near impossible to see more than a few feet in front of you. Music blared, loud enough that it could just barely be recognized as music. The other raves danced wildly, their glow in the dark jewelry and body paint creating a surreal picture.

    James danced behind me, his body brushing against mine every few seconds. Each touch, gentle as they might be, sent a little spark through my body.
