You pray in your distress and in your need; would that you might pray also in the fullness of your joy and in your days of abundance.

    FOREWORD

B eing a person who comes from a spiritual transformation background, I seek peace in meditation and learning through reflection. I keep multiple journals writing my experiences and spiritual unfoldment in life. I have figured that Life will always show you the signs when something goes right or wrong by the results you reap. The Bible says a tree that gives good fruits is a good tree.

You will know the quality and the? righteousness of the life that you are living by the fruits that it bears. Sometime back, I caught myself being drained in negativity, having paranoid thoughts and the feelings of insecurities that I am not enough. Maybe I was irrational, gratitude disappeared from my life, I took things for granted, and I wasn’t looking forward to the next day.

These feelings were not normal to me. We humans are created with the internal joy that aims to lift us up when we are down. Being a person who believes in God, practices yoga and into personal development, I wasn’t supposed to be in this position. But it happened to me and it could also happen to anyone else as emotions can cloud your mind and distract you for your true self. I am very glad that these darkest days of mine are bygone and I have not fully regained and recentered myself once again.

What I realized was that having a positive outlook in life sometimes is not enough. The old me that doesn’t serve me needed to go. I needed change, I needed to start a new life, with new energy, and learn new skills. I had to pick myself up from this situation that I was in, outgrow and develop myself into a whole new person. I had to take the responsibility for my own happiness and not rely on the outside to make me happy or to be who I really am.

I am sure that some of you reading this might have found yourself in a similar situation like mine. Whether it was a failed relationship, a divorce, losing a loved one, losing employment or a business or you just don’t seem to look forward to the next day or the next chapter in your life, I would like to dedicate this book to you.

This book is for the seekers who never wanted to ask for help or to make that search. Now is your time to open up and seek beyond your comfort zone. The information in this book does not provide any counseling or psychological support for serious trauma. If you are in this situation, I would suggest that you seek professional help.

However, this book would allow you to find peace and help you build or rebuild a better version of yourself. You can be someone who is stronger and kinder. Someone who is his or her own champion.

Life equally throws us the same challenges in many different ways and at different times and we must learn from it. This also puts us in a position to understand our previous self, the one that does not serve us should be upgraded into a newer version in order to live in this fast and ever-changing world that we live in today.

When you find yourself in this situation perhaps you are experiencing the ‘lobster phenomenon’. The lobster is a unique sea creature. It is red in colour and has a long body with a well-built tail and claws. So, what can a Lobster teach us? Lobsters go through an interesting process. Their shell is hard and inelastic and in order for it to grow it must shed its shell. So, this process of shedding its shell allows it to grow and change.

This is the same process that we all go through as humans. In order to grow, we must outgrow our old selves. This process can sometimes make us vulnerable and the fear of change can set in. But this change is vital if you want to grow and become a better version of yourself.

We humans have these invisible ‘shells’ around us and they form our behaviours and thought habits. These behaviours and habits affect the choices that we make in life from time to time. We live in a dynamic world, and everything changes constantly. We can’t get too comfortable with our lifestyles or we will remain in our comfort zones. It will prevent us from growing.

The universe created us in such a way that no matter how bad things can get in life, it always allows us to always find a
