ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
First, I take this time to give glory and honour to the first and the last Man in my life, Jesus Christ. I thank Him for the opportunity, wisdom and vision to write this book. LORD, receive my praises! I do not take any credit for this because it is not by might nor by power; it is all by the Spirit of God and His grace upon my life. Receive my worship, Father; You deserve it. It was not easy but You made it possible. I love You, LORD; thank You for the great work!
Second, my gratitude goes to my family: my daughter, Koketso and my son, Thato. I am so grateful to God for giving you to me as my children; He knew I would need you in my life. I would not have made it without you by my side. You are the best and I love you so much. To my mother, Charlotte Boroto: you are the strongest woman I have ever known in my life. Against all odds, you stood by me in prayer and with encouraging words; I am very proud to be called your daughter and I will always love you. I thank you for teaching me the ways of God. To my brother, Richard Boroto: I thank you for being so supportive in all ways possible. It was not easy but you chose not to give up on me. Thank you, my dear brother! To my niece, Boitumelo and my nephew, Richard Junior: I love you so much, guys. I thank God for your presence in my life. May God continue to bless you!
Third, I would like to thank my spiritual parents, Bishop Idah Peterside and Dr Emi Peterside. I am proud to call you my parents in the LORD. You do not know the kind of spiritual impact you have made in my life. Daddy, I thank you for bringing out the best in me through your teachings and spiritual impartations. I thank God who chose you for me; He knew I would need you to unleash the potential in me and to break the limitations. Indeed you are the tow bar; you towed me by the power of God and placed me where I am today.
May the good LORD continue to increase and bless you abundantly in the Name of Jesus!
Lastly, I would like to thank all my other family members, as well as my spiritual family. In a special way, I would like to acknowledge everyone who was part of the project that made this book the reality it is today. Many thanks to you and may God bless you abundantly!

INTRODUCTION
The aim of this book is to prepare single women for marriage by pointing them to the truths about marriage as spelt out in the Holy Book, the Bible. This book is a tool that I believe will help many singles to prepare for their marriages and not just for their weddings; I have observed that many marriages fail because people prepare more for weddings than they do for marriages. This book is about the realities that most people do not know regarding marriage. Some people may know about them, but they overlook them because of their desperation to get married. Many people wait until they are married to learn about marriage, and their marriages fail as a result. I hope and believe that the revelation in this book will equip many single women and prepare them for marriage; that they will acquire knowledge about what marriage is all about and how they are expected to conduct themselves as wives. It is further intended to help them understand the concept of marriage and what it entails so that they do not get surprised when they get there.
Knowledge has the power to change our minds and the way we do things. It is time for women, especially single ones, to change their mind-sets so that their conduct can also change. Sometimes, people tend to take things for granted or assume that things will just happen automatically. I hope that this book will help you to put every opportunity to good use, including the time of your singlehood. Furthermore, I hope this book will make you realise that a good marriage is not an automatic thing; it is built. It is not built when you are in it already; rather, you lay a good foundation while you are still single. Invest now while you are still single and you will enjoy the benefits later in your marriage. Sow now to reap later. It is my desire and hope that you will learn extensively from this book because it is intended to build you; to prepare you so that you make a very good wife in the future. It will equip you on what is expected from you as a wife, by God and your husband before you enter into a marriage covenant; it will also help you decide whether you want to marry or not. Lastly, it will guide you in your choice of a spouse and encourage you to listen to God’s voice when making that choice. This book will make you realise that outer beauty is not as important as inner beauty: A beautiful woman who lacks discretion is like a gold ring in a pig’s snout. (Proverbs 11:22 NLT)
This book is meant for women because they play a very prominent role in marriage and the family at large because of the influence they have. However, men can also benefit from it. It can be a very good tool to help them in choosing their spouses.
Stay blessed while you acquire this pertinent knowledge!
CHAPTER 1 LET GOD PREPARE YOU
The biggest mistake people make in life is rushing into things. People want quick fixes and instant gratification such as fast foods, instant cash and many more. We tend to be reluctant to invest our time in preparation because we feel like it takes forever. Many things we do without preparation tend to fail or not come out as ideal; the results are not as good as they should be because we are not thorough during the preparation time. Sometimes we don’t prepare at all but we still expect good results.
Although both men and women may want to marry, some women seem to want marriage so badly that they would do anything to ensure that they get married. Some would even turn
