Feral cats are nothing new in any part of the world throughout history. But in most areas of Las Vegas, they are very rare. So rare, in fact, that when one becomes known, a lot of effort and time goes into trapping the cat and taming it and finding it a home of some sort or another.

In Vegas, regular feral cats just don’t survive for long on their own. Far, far too hot in the summer, far too much traffic for them to move large distances without being killed, and very little natural foods for them to find.

So as a superhero in the cat world, living in Vegas and working around Vegas for over seventy years now, I just haven’t had to help deal with that many feral cats. But when I do, the cat usually turns out to be something very special.
