About this ebook
Excerpts from the book:
The room where the mirror-artifact for communication with other worlds was kept turned out to be simple and spacious, with light walls. The mirror itself looked unexpectedly modest and ordinary. Except that on its silver frame there were unusual magical writings.
Lady Mist ran her hand over the symbols on the frame and quietly cast a spell. On the surface of the mirror, to Tanya’s great surprise, something appeared that looked like a somewhat outdated interface of the simplest Earthly smartphone.
“It's called magic software,” Lady Mist explained, noticing the girl's surprise. “With its help, magical energy is generated more efficiently. Nowadays, magic software is not very common, it is used only on complex artifacts.”
“This is real technomagic,” Tanya commented in amazement.
“Technomagic?” Lady Mist asked. The word seemed unusual to her, but she understood the meaning. “You could call it that. Although, to some extent, any magic can be called technomagic or science. Because in all worlds magic obeys certain laws.”
“And in the World of Fairies?” Tanya was surprised again. She had not thought about this before, but on the other hand, she understood that magic should have its own rules.
“Of course,” Lady Mist replied with a smile. “And now I will find the World of Fairies on the mirror interface, it should be in the list of worlds available for communication. And then you will tell the coordinates of the magic mirror of the one you want to contact.”
So they did. Mist found the World of Fairies in the list, and Tanya, after some thought, said the coordinates of Princess Snow Rose's pocket mirror. The girl's choice fell on Snow Rose for obvious reasons: Tenebris constantly lost and changed her magic mirrors, and Petya did not have his own mirror. Establishing a connection with the mansion of the Duke Lime family, in which Petya temporarily replaced Raphael, also made no sense.
...It took some time for the communication connection to be established (after all, the call was going to another world!). At the same time, a running information line appeared on Lady Mist’s magic mirror, which in appearance resembled the loading line in an ordinary Earthly computer.
Finally, the line went out and the surface of the mirror was covered with fog. This meant that the mirror was in communication standby mode. Soon the fog disappeared, and an image of Princess Snow Rose appeared on the surface of Lady Mist's mirror. She looked very worried and looked at Tanya in bewilderment for some time.
“Who are you?” finally, after a long pause, the Princess asked.
Of course, she didn't recognize Tanya. After all, she turned into a water spirit, and her skin became blue and her hair turned blue! And by the way, in the World of Fairies, water spirits were very different from those who lived in the World of River Dragons. Water spirits in the World of Fairies looked like little winged girls, as if woven from water. They were small in size and lived near water sources, preferring not to go to large cities.
“Hello, Princess Snow Rose!” meanwhile, the girl greeted cheerfully. “It’s me, Tanya!”
The Princess widened her eyes and made her favorite exclamation:
“Oh!” but then she quickly pulled herself together and asked: “Where are you and what happened to you? Why do you look like this? Over the past days, we have been looking for you everywhere! We were all worried! Petya even lost his appetite! Tenebris, on the contrary, constantly eats sweets due to stress! She's gained weight!”
“Due to the fault of the Familiar of the Tempest, I was transported to another world... More precisely, in the World of River Dragons,” the girl said.
