About this ebook
Loren has always had it pretty easy. She grew up with a nice family, a strong education, and great friends. As an adult, even her career is awesome; what more could she ask for? It turns out Loren is missing a romantic relationship. She’s ready to settle down with the right man.
Dave seems like the perfect guy. They hit it off and eventually get married. However, Dave has dark secrets, most of which seem to revolve around his family and his past. When things begin to go wrong between them, Loren wonders how well she really knows her husband.
As her life becomes more and more twisted, Loren must ask an even more important question: how well does she know herself? In order to uncover all Dave is hiding, she takes matters into her own hands, seeking out his dirty little secrets, but Loren finds more than she bargained for—and the darkness she finds does not only belong to Dave.

Meet Loren
(Finishing a job interview with Mr. Sims)
Mr. Sims:
We think you would make a great addition to our marketing team here at Saphire Industries Ms. DeVoe…I expect to see you here bright and early Monday Morning… (shaking Loren’s hand), 8am sharp! I’ll introduce you to David, he’s the VP of sales in marketing…he’ll introduce you to everyone and show you what you’ll be doing.
Loren: (Holding Back Excitement)
thank you so much for the opportunity Mr. Sims… I look forward to a successful career with Saphire Industries!
Mr. Sims:
Take care Ms. DeVoe, bright and early Monday.
The secretary walks in with papers for Mr. Sims as Loren is standing to leave, she eagerly says Yes sir Mr. Sims, bright and early
Loren leaves the room and the secretary closes the door behind her. Loren is leaving the building, she reaches in her purse to get her car keys and phone…she unlocks the car and calls mom while she is driving…
Loren: Hi Ma! Great News!
Mom: Let me guess, you’re taking me and dad on a 1st class trip to Hawaii!
Loren: No mom… Do you remember the marketing job I was telling you about?
Mom: Yeah, sure honey…
Loren: It’s mine mom… I start Monday!!!
Mom: That’s great news hun, I’m so proud of you!!
Loren: Thanks Mom!... I think I wanna celebrate tonight
Mom: Don’t do anything you’ll regret tonight!
Loren: Bye mom, love you!
Mom: Love you too…
(Both hang up)
Loren continues to drive until she makes it home, once she is inside she sends a group chat text to her friends…
Loren’s text to Macy and Cameron:
I’m thinking tall drinks, short skirts, and cute guys…
Macy text back: When?!
Cameron text back: Where…
Loren text back: Be at my place at 7
Both girls text ok, Loren hops in the shower and finds some cute clothes, a few hours later Cameron and Macy show up to Loren’s house around 7, the girls get an Uber and are headed to a popular night spot called The Lions Corner
. The girls get into the club, find some good seats and order drinks, and they start girl chat…
Macy: (slowly sipping) This place has great drinks!
Cameron: Yeah, but I’m more interested in the desert,
as she is sipping her drink and staring at various guys walking around…
Loren: She is excited… Hey you guys… remember that job I was telling you about?!
Both Girls: Yeah
Loren: Yelling with excitement…(IT’S MINE, I GOT IT!!!)
They all scream with congrats and Macy says I’m so happy for you Lo’… that is so awesome, my sis the new director of sales for Saphire Industries!!! Sooooo… When do you start?
Loren: Monday…
Cameron: I knew you’d get it, Monday you’ll be a business woman on your way to the top…so tonight… LET’S CELEBRATE!!!
They all scream and cheer then toast.
After a few hours, and a few drinks, the girls hit the dance floor. They lose Cameron on the dance floor, then they see her dancing provocatively with some guy. The guy is groping Cameron’s ass while grinding closely to her. Loren and Macy see her and get enraged. They race to her abruptly, grabs her by the arm and all three girls
head for some privacy. They stop in a small corner near the ladies restroom, Loren swings Cameron against the wall…
Loren: What the fuck are you doing Cam?! That guy was all over you Cameron:
Relax Lo’…we were just dancin’
Macy: "Look like more than dancing to me…y’all look like Siamese twins out there…
Cameron: "Ah c’mon Mace…lighten up, I’m just having a little fun… He’s cute for heaven’s sake…
Macy and Loren lighten the mood and the girls head for the restroom to freshen up then head back to the dancefloor. They are walking towards the dancefloor when Cameron’s dance partner approaches them saying sarcastically… Hey ladies, everything ok
, looking at Cameron…I thought we were dancin’?
Macy says to him rudely So is that what you call dancing?
Cameron’s dance partner: She liked it
Loren: "Well I think she’s had a little too much to drink…don’t you?
Cameron’s dance partner: Naw, I think she’s just fine…
looking at Cameron just fine…what you think baby?
Cameron: I think you’re right,
walking slowly into his arms, and
