Journey to Freedom - Olean Hardaway Scott

    Introduction

There is a great need for a cry of repentance in our world today. Therefore, this book will cover many of the errors made by the people of God. In order to be forgiven, we must forgive ourselves.

    Chapter One

    Spiritual Pain

    Topic: Spiritual Pain

    Today I’m Free

It’s time for a new beginning. We often say, but we are reluctant to be saturated in the purest way such as renewing the mind, body, and spirit. In order to forget pain, one must be willing to forgive the undue affliction, may it be self-neglect, lack of attention to important responsibilities, or whatever the case may be. If it causes any amount of pain, then you must begin to forgive yourself for negligence and lack of concern. There is a saying, no pain no gain. Well as we experience pain, it gives a degree of inner power and stamina; that is the beauty of pain. It leaves a mark—like a branding iron. Others will see the proof and allow you to step aside, commending the efforts put into the lifetime struggle to survive.

To reach the point of total victory, one must possess the power and ability to focus beyond the situation.

The Lord has made us with unique powers and skills to be able to verbalize and allow others to know your inner thoughts as you will. Therefore, our greatest strength derives from the power of thinking. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that we, his most treasured creation, might have a life of abundance and not suffer lack.

As we think about certain desires of the heart, we ask the Lord if he would give them to us. We think in this manner because as dear children, he expects us to bring it to him in prayer, believe, and go on to the next level of thinking, praising him for all things he has done great and small. As Christians, we have learned already how to trust God for our needs from day to day. God is waiting for his children to envision the best, and we must believe that we have received it already.

    ––––––––

The Bible tells us to always pray. The Lord has assured his people of this one thing that he that keeps his mind stayed on Jesus will have perfect peace.

As we think about how to get a bill paid, we give energy to the negative forces which are attached to the spirit of fear. John 14:1 says let not your heart be troubled. We can never get to the other side of a bad situation if we lose faith and give up on the Lord. We are equipped with wisdom and great knowledge, which can pull us out of any bad situation when the heat is turned up. That is a way of showing us how powerful we really are as human beings.

Today you will learn how to use the power God has freely given to move smoothly past the rough and jagged edges of life. We are the royal priesthood. As long as sin has no dominion over our lives, the Lord has reminded us that He would hold no good things from those who walk upright before him. We know that God is not a man that he should lie.

As children of God, we have a powerful defense mechanism against evil forces. And that is the reason the Lord has commanded us to pray always and not faint.

The past holds no power over the individual who is born again and living a life of prayer. Although it is a constant battle to bind up the old man, we are divinely equipped with something to keep us going—a strength we are not able to understand. God keeps his arms around us continuously recharging our spirits as we enter his presence, lifting up his Holy name and praising him with all our heart. We are to be blameless unto the coming of the Lord. We need not fret about troubles that come. The word of God has set everything up perfectly. Psalms 37:1 says fret not thyself because of evildoers. Dear friend, we are born to glorify God our Heavenly Father. It helps to remember that the Heavenly Father knew you before birth. The time has come for all who feel they are bound and without a sense of spiritual direction for their life. It’s your time to claim victory. It’s the Father’s good pleasure to give you the desires of your heart. The past was forgotten when you repented of your sins.

Forces around us are constantly pulling at our souls to destroy the peace within. Daily we are tempted and tried, some left for dead. Except for the power and love of God, there would be no hope for anyone. Remember this letter comes to you to bless and build you up in Faith. Think on the word of God at all times, for in it is eternal life. Always keep a song and a melody in your heart for the Lord. Our children, family, friends, neighbors, employer, and the world all have the same purpose in mind. They are used by the enemy. It is designed to keep you miserable without any joy. The most wonderful thing about being saved is that they can never completely take all the job from you—just temporarily, when you take your mind off Jesus. You are the chosen ones, God’s Norfoff—those who are wounded, bleeding. You are God’s people who have been slain spiritually, left without hope. Many have been abused in many ways, broken in your spirit. But now my friend, today you have been recovered. The past will remain in the past. The bright new beginning is here for you to walk into. Faith is all you need to go into the doors which the Lord prepared for you long ago.

    ––––––––

The blessings of the Lord make it rich and add no sorrow with it.
