"I met Gabriela about 5 years ago through my Recall Healing workshops that I teach in Europe. She introduced herself to me as a psychologist and therapist at the help of her clients. She told me then to be very interested in the Recall Healing adventure as an additional way to help her clients. The journey of everyone has been exponential. The genealogical and cyclical discoveries were simply astonishing, painful but illuminating, and above all liberating. What makes Gabriela effective in her practice is that she is an example of what she is talking about. In this book that you are about to read, she will walk you through her story, which may stimulate you to know another aspect of yourself for a better understanding and thus a better life. Enjoy the reading!" Gilbert Renaud, Director of the International Recall Healing Institute, Vancouver, BC, Canada

A word from my mentor and teacher of Psycho Biology, before you start.

I met Gabriela about 5 years ago through my Recall Healing workshops that I teach in Romania. She introduced herself to me as a psychologist and therapist at the help of her clients. She told me then to be very interested in the Recall Healing adventure as an additional way to help her clients. Since then, Gabriela has become a Certified Recall Healing Practitioner. Not only did she transform herself through this process of learning and working on oneself … but she also involved her whole family & the one of her husband, including several of her clients.

The journey of everyone has been exponential. The genealogical and cyclical discoveries were simply astonishing, painful but illuminating, and above all liberating. The work of Recall Healing requires working on one’s Life Time Line, Project // Purpose, including the buildup of one’s Family Tree (Genealogy) which allows a better understanding of what are the lines of strength and weakness that we inherit and repeat from our ancestors and / or the ones that we have forgotten from our youth, from birth to now. Clients come to Recall Healing to explore the reasons for their repetitive illnesses and problems, but also to access their healing. Indeed, Recall Healing works on the emotional aspect behind the disease and / or behavioral problem (OCD, Addictions and others), leaving the Health Care Professional with the medical and physical aspect of the problem.

In her final thesis of her work as a practitioner of Recall Healing, Gabriela has repeatedly demonstrated her effectiveness in helping her clients identify, resolve, let go and rebuild the future; several clients improved, others healed, others understood the reason for their problem, which made it easier to accept.

    PART 1

    Who are you?

    Who are you for real?

    CHAPTER 1

    Introduction

Have you ever wondered why you get sick? Why certain diseases and not others?

Why do we have cancers and illnesses?

Why do we have mental disorders?

Why now and not at another moment?

Why do we have unwanted behaviors?

Why do we drink alcohol, smoke consume drugs?

Why do we eat in excess? Why do we work in excess?

    Why do we have tics?

Why do we have some preferences in life and not others?

Why are the children of the same parents totally different from each other sometimes?

There are lots of ‘why’ questions to which we search maybe for years for the right answer.

More and more people in the world wonder why they have an illness – mental or emotional.

Why is it that now, things are fine but then all of a sudden, one gets a disease or an unwanted behavior?

For some, it is obvious that there is a connection between the way they manage their emotions – their mental state.

The more we suffer, we blame, we feel shamed, we feel distress and stressed out, panicked, blocked inside, the more pathologies show up – it’s not by coincidence.

The purpose of this book is to identify the emotional trauma behind conditions and behaviors.

Nowadays we are witnessing an extensive development of Psychosomatics, a field that comes from the intersection of clinical psychology and medicine.

And yet, there are still many things that are hard to explain or they still do not have a coherent scientific explanation that cannot be put in statistics or standardized.

Psychobiology comes to explain the ‘why’ behind our questions. It is an emotional medicine, a humanistic and natural logic approach regarding the problems we have in our body, mind and soul.

Health disorders as well as limiting behaviors are the result of an adaptive mechanism, which is triggered in synchronicity with our emotional traumas and stresses.

It is not by coincidence that we acquire the diseases that we have, it is not a hazard or random event. We live in an environment and we react to everything that we experience.

    Who are we?

As human beings, we are alive. Therefore, we are biological beings.

Thinking in biological terms is to use our common sense. It means to observe humankind as a part of a wide natural system. We live in nature. Therefore, natural laws apply on us also, not only on animals and plants.

We live according to the principle of evolution, so the main function of our biology is – Survival!

For that, every part of us has to adapt in its own way, to everything that happens to us millisecond by millisecond. And we have to feed our survival needs.

The human biological – the integration of body, mind, and soul of a person, is a very precise mechanism; And the most important thing is that it is alive.

That is what Biology means in terms of science: the science of what is alive.

We are not mechanical robots. Every part of us has its own function and meaning.

Inside a human body, every part communicates with everything. The brain communicates with the organs, the organs communicate among each other, the brain communicates with the mind, the mind communicates with the organs.

Human biologic is a living system!

And this system called human being – one that communicates with the other human beings around. Not only with the people around but also with the environment. This means that the environment can be the habitat: the house we can live in, the school we can attend to, or the workplace we can go to, and also the nature we are surrounded by.

So it is a complex system and every detail is to be taken into consideration. Why?

Because everything that happens around us has a certain degree of impact on us.

What we think has an impact on us, what we eat, what we experience, what we drink, what we feel, what we say to each other and how we say it. But also what we say to ourselves.

We are like a bio computer, the most evolved form of computer that we know, maybe 15-20 times more than a NASA computer, maybe more than that.

As a bio computer we have programs that help us stay alive. We have them from the beginning of our species, in order to survive and continue the human species.

That is the first condition to continue the species: SURVIVAL!

So, all our actions, thoughts, emotions, behaviors are programs for survival.

All these become forms of adaptation and solutions to keep us alive.

Sometimes we lose biological items (e.g. hair) or external, with psychological impact on the person like territorial items (e.g. our house or our job), but the important aspect for our biologic is our survival.

Talking about Biology, let’s see what are we composed of from a biological perspective.

The ancient and until now philosophers say that we are:

     Body

     Mind

     Soul

A more medicine approach would say:

    • Psychic

    • Brain

    • Organ

A more Neuro-Psychoanalytic approach would say:

     Conscious

     Automatic brain

     Subconscious

The mind influences the body and the body influences the mind.

Mens sana in corpore sano – people from the beginning of times know that we need an inner equilibrium to be healthy.

What is biological? Why do we use this term?

Because biologic uses common sense to integrate all parts of us:

     body

     conscious and subconscious

     mind

     soul

 it speaks about the parts of us that communicate with each other in a direct and indirect way

 and very important: we function due to subconscious programming.

What is a hard part without a soft part in computers? Or what is a soft part if we cannot apply it on a hard part in a computer?

How do we apply it? Through programming!

In Biology, it is the subconscious programming.

Programming is a very important function. It is a plan of action to accomplish a specified end.

We function due to our subconscious programs! Something has to coordinate the billions of processes that happen every second inside of us:

     intracellular,

     in the organs,

     in our bones

 in all the tissues of our body,

 in our brain and spine

     in our psychic

Subconscious Programming also means that we repeat actions, thoughts, behaviors, emotions to have a better chance of survival. Repetition is the mother of learning.

We need to repeat a lot, that is energy saving. Otherwise, the energy consumption would be exorbitant.

Did you know that for example, we have approximately 60.000-80.000 thoughts a day? That is about 3.000 thoughts/hour or 50/minute, just under one per second.

Do you know how many thoughts per day are new?

Neurologists say that at least 98% of our thoughts are repetitive.

If we think about it, it would be so hard or maybe even impossible to change our mental structure every day, to think different thoughts daily or to do totally different actions daily.

It would be exhausting, that is why we keep repeating, we need programs – they make life easier.

Most things we do in our daily life are programs become a routine.

 Do you remember how exactly you brush your teeth? No, because your brain does it automatically for you. It is a routine – a program.

 If you ever ride a bicycle, at the beginning you may have fallen a few times, but they say once you know how to ride a bicycle, you will always know – Program.

 When you go to your job, usually you take the same route – Program.

Programs, routine make things easier. Otherwise you would be in an overwhelming stress all the time.

How much stress can one take, after all? For how long? What happens when it’s saturated? What indicates the saturation?

Also, when a drama occurs or somebody says something inappropriate or hurtful, it’s like a surprise for you, it gets you out of the way that you expect things to happen. The way you respond to what happens is the key to your health.

    CHAPTER 2

    The Bio – Logic

How does it all start? Where do thoughts come from? Where do programs come from? Do we make them, or are they given to us by our parents; or both?

As we talk about identity and evolution of species, we know that there is a continuity and a chronology.

You are all the things that happen to you – All the events and all the things you live in your life. You are also are part of your family tree.

Your life may have started at conception, but inside, you’ve already carried all the memories of your ancestors.

Science calls that genetic information – it is correct.

Also, when you see a person with a disease, there is a story behind.

It doesn’t matter if the problem is mental, emotional or physical. There is always a story behind.

In order to heal, you have to get to that story that programmed the problem you have today.

At the base of healing is Consciousness.

Awareness is to be conscious of a situation or fact that triggered your problem.

But how do you become conscious?

By going back to those memories of suffering and changing the perspective. By finding the right story behind your problem. By verbalizing what you feel and what you live in reality. That is how you truly know yourself.

Our diseases and our problems are our unfinished business from the past.

Where you see a disease, a disorder, there is a story that shows that you suffered in the past. But did that suffering pass? Or is it stored inside of you?

The body is our best friend. It is honest. It shows us how we lived in the past and what story is brought up to the surface right now.

When a drama happens, when you feel hurt inside, who do you talk to?

Many of us don’t say anything. We shut up. We stuff it all inside of us. All that we feel.

 For example, imagine you are a 6-7 years old child. Your grandma comes to visit for the summer. She is nice in the beginning, she makes pancakes, takes you out in the park. Mommy and daddy go to dinner together in the first days when grandma comes. But grandma is a widower since she was young. She had to raise 4 kids on her own. She never remarried. So now, at almost 60, she is more like a boss, organizing everybody, going into the kitchen, imposing rules for the grandchildren. Your mother starts to be pissed off after a few days. You see her and your father coming out upset from their bedroom, from time to time. You love your grandma, but she starts to be annoying. It’s like she came to disturb the peace of the house.

What do you feel about these things? Who do you tell these things? As a kid, usually, you tell Nobody.

 As a kid, you are confused. You don’t know why. So you can’t even express it. you cannot verbalize what happens to you.

 As a kid, it is normal to have trouble expressing yourself.

 You need the help of an adult to be able to verbalize what you feel and think about it.

 But do adults know how to express themselves emotionally?

 Do they know how to verbalize? When they do, it is perfect; no problem.

 But most of us, in many situations, we don’t say anything. We want to be nice.

 The mother was pissed off, but she didn’t do anything. Two months of grudge and anger, upset, not happy. Grandma left at the end of August. In September, the mother was diagnosed with gall bladder stones. It’s like all her grudge and rancor had to store somewhere.

 Now imagine that you are a woman, a month pregnant with your first child. It’s night. You are alone, your husband is away in a work delegation and you start to bleed. What is your stress? That you are going to lose the baby. Where is the stress? In your uterus.

 If your gynecologist says that you have an eminence of abortion, where is the stress, all your pregnancy? In the uterus.

 If you lose the baby, miscarriage, where is the stress? In the uterus.

 Imagine you are coming home from work and from the bus station, where you got down, to go to your building, a man follows you. What do you think in your mind? Maybe he wants to steal from you, but maybe he wants to rape you. Many women think like that. Where is the stress? In your genitals.

 There is this woman, Florina, she is with her husband for 23 years, she had undergone therapy before getting married and after getting married because she did not love him. Florina married her husband because he offered stability and security to her. So they have 3 sons together and she is doing therapy for years to ease her life and take the decision to leave him. When she feels strongly that she wants to separate, she becomes more depressed, when she decides to wait another period, season or school year, it all becomes better for her mental state.

 So you see, it’s common sense.
