    What is Juicing and What are the Advantages?

    Juicing is the newest craze in dieting. Just like Atkins, Paleo, and South Beach diets in the past, juicing has become the latest popular diet, even with celebrities. Juicing is used to lose weight and cleanse the body of toxins while avoiding solid foods for a period of time – usually from a few days to several weeks. The juice is derived from whole fruits and vegetables which are then blended to reduce the ingredients into a liquid juice.

    A typical juice is made mostly from greens with other fruits and veggies added. It can consist of a blend of kale, broccoli, green apples, collard greens, spinach, or coconut water. The juice used for juicing is specially made, not usually bought in a supermarket. Most juices in the supermarket contain lots of added sugars, and they do not provide the same benefit as having freshly juiced whole fruits and veggies.

    Not only is juicing beneficial for those who want to lose weight, but it can also provide much needed vitamins and nutrients to your diet that may have been lacking.
