- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Don't let the "silly" cover fool you, this is a decent little baseball book, especially if you are a Pittsburgh Pirates fan, or if you are trying to raise a little one to be a fan of the Bucs. The cat story is really goofy, probably perfect for young ones, but pretty lame to me. But the recap of the Series is good, and the reprints of newspapers from that time are excellent! I liked the scoreboard graphics too! Like I say, a fan of the Pirates would love this!

Tom hoped to go to the World Series games played at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh, and root for the Pirates in person. Unfortunately, the Pittsburgh games quickly sold out before Tom could buy a ticket. The games to be played in Washington, D.C., were too
