Scientific review on the evaluation in the patient with spinal cord injury.
Spinal cord trauma affects the spine, and the spinal cord can be injured. Therefore, there is the possibility of significant, functional and permanent sequelae. We must evaluate the trauma, taking into account the neurological affectation and carry out detailed-sequenced attention, depending on this affectation. Reassessment of a trauma patient should be continuous, with adequate monitoring of the patient.
