Even though they met at the start of the academic year and the chemistry was very evident, they only went on their first date after 6 months.

Jessica was a doing her first year of law, while Terry was busy with his MBA with a concentration in accounting. But unlike most couples on varsity, it was their love for music where that brought them together. Terry sang in the choir, while Jessica played the violin and the organ.

Terry with his mini but still stylish Afro, he stood 6 foot 7 with broad shoulders, sprinting muscles all around, deep and smooth voice, with Southern farm respectable manners was Grade A masculinity! While Jessica with her Scandinavian blonde hair, cheer-leading body and all the confidence from California. On paper such a relationship could actually result in something very interesting, or so many of their fellow observing students thought.

In a morbid tone Terry spoke

I don't know what happened? Normally it’s never this full? Must be a party or work social going on tonight?

Even though both of them were still sitting in the car, from the outside, the restaurant was clearly packed, with half a dozen people standing in the reception area, and even more people waiting outside of the restaurant.

Terry looked to Jessica

And before you think otherwise, they have a policy of no-reservations.

In her truth and reality, Jessica wasn't thinking anything remotely in that direction, but the fact that he mentioned it, it did somewhat soften the blow of her dressing up, getting her hair and nails done for their first evening out to the only upscale place in town.

Jessica in a sincere tone

Don't be too hard on yourself, these things happen, I am sure we will find another place to eat

Terry continued in a down and out voice,

Yeah, but I was really looking forward to eating here tonight, when my niece was her for a medical conference a couple of months back, I bought her here, and if she enjoyed it, I could only imagine

and then his voice became more alive with passion

How it would have been if it was, well you know? and then his voice purposefully went silent.

Jessica caught by surprise but returning the 'attention' in her voice

No Terry, I 'DON'T' know!

Terry started singing

Then let me showwwww you ma'aaaaaaam

And there once again Jessica could clearly hear why Terry was part of the university choir, she liked his voice very much especially now that he was singing for her!

Terry being the forward-thinking man he was

Let me check if I have a blanket, and maybe some camping chairs in the trunk of the car, maybe we can get some takeaways, and enjoy our dinner outside, it's not too cold for you, is it?
