Introduction
This book has been written to help anyone wanting to cure their procrastination habit. For it is this horrible habit that adds so much unnecessary stress to life. Stress that could so easily be avoided.
So, what is procrastination? In simplified terms, it is the habit of putting off or delaying doing something that needs to be done - usually because the task is unpleasant or boring. Students are notoriously good at procrastinating. Many of them desperately complete assignments or study for exams the night before the due date. These same students had plenty of time to get their work done earlier, but instead chose to put off the task until the last possible minute. Why?
Why on earth would an intelligent person choose to double down on their stress levels and make everything harder? Isn't life difficult enough as it is? This book will look into the myriad of reasons why people choose to procrastinate. It will then examine how people go about the task of procrastinating. Then finally, it will delve into a range of clever solutions to cure the problem.
For some people, the seeds of procrastination are planted very early in life. Children who grow up in a household where no chores are required never learn the self-discipline of tackling tasks that are unpleasant. Children who grow up with instant gratification from their parents and who are never taught to wait (or work) for what they want are hardly likely to be the type of student who knuckles down to study chemistry or physics at
