Preface
My journey into the subject of health and wellness has been lifelong. I wanted to understand how to stay healthy. I read books like Linus Pauling’s Vitamin C and the Common Cold, and Anatomy of an Illness by Norman Cousins. In 2008, I attended a workshop called "Know Your Purpose," led by a man named Tim Kelley. I learned that my purpose in life—the thing that is innate in me that would bring me the most joy—is to write about healing. I started reading books on healing, feeling that I wasn’t qualified to write on the subject. That has led me to read 90+ books on health, wellness, nutrition, anatomy, virology, pathology, and spiritual healing. And this led me to study with the Trinity School of Natural Health. I received a doctorate in Naturopathy in 2020, and I am also certified as a Nutritionist.

Introduction
Imagine for a moment that your body is a container of energy. That container has only a certain amount of energy to be used for body function and repair. The energy is being used to move your muscles, to see with your eyes, to speak and hear. Your brain is using 20% of your energy to process what it sees, hears, and feels, as well as memory and imagination. Your digestive system is using 15-30% of your energy to digest food. Your liver is using energy to assimilate the nutrients and 64 other functions. Your kidneys are using energy to filter, etc.
Your immune system is also using some of this energy in this container that is you, to combat bacteria, pathogens, viruses, and stress from an excess of unwholesome foods. Emotional stress from your environment is using energy. Energy for unresolved resentments (from your past) and concerns about your future are creating stress that uses energy.
There is only so much energy that your body has before the immune system is overwhelmed and you become sick. If, for instance, a person has Type 2 diabetes, their immune system is constantly fighting off the diabetes so that it doesn’t overwhelm their entire body function. Energy and nutrients are being used up to fight off the diabetes. If their immune system is under a new challenge, something that uses additional energy, like a flu virus or dramatic, stressful event (e.g., a sudden death in the family, a divorce, a bankruptcy, or being poisoned by chemicals or spoiled food, etc.), the immune system is overwhelmed. Death can occur. The less body energy you have in your container, the more likely you are to get sick. This is why people sleep a lot when they are sick. Their immune system needs energy to repair and rejuvenate. If you have tremendous stress, unresolved emotions, a poor diet, and poor hygiene (germs), you are low in energy. Energy that could be useful, if you had it. By boosting your energy, your immune system is prepared in the event of a new challenge to your health.
An analogy: Your computer has only so much processing energy. If you have too many programs open, the processor gets overwhelmed and your computer is slow to function properly. Your immune system is like this.
Side note: If you are prone to getting a flu shot each year to prepare for flu season, consider this. The flu shot or vaccine has a small amount of known viruses in it as well as certain poisons. The poisons uncloak harmful viruses, giving the immune system a chance to create antibodies (virus fighters) so that your body is ready. The mostly dead viruses in the flu shot tell your body what antibodies to make. If you have a strong immune system, you will make strong antibodies and plenty of them. If you have a weak immune system, your body will only have enough energy and nutrients to make weak antibodies and fewer of them.
Energy:
When I talk about energy in the body I’m really referring to electrons. The fresher your food is, the more electrons it will have in it. Fresh vegetables, fresh meat, and fresh fruits are going to have more electrons in them than food that has had time to decay. We also get electrons from sunlight, from radiant heat, from breathing air and, if we make contact with fertile soil, we absorb electrons from the earth (earthing). The more fresh foods, fresh air, sunlight, and contact with Mother Nature, the more energy we’ll have.
Here’s one example how a lack of electrons can affect your health. Dr. Jerry Tenant, a medical doctor and ophthalmologist, spent years doing Lasik eye surgeries on thousands of patients. He developed chronic fatigue, which caused him to sleep 16 hours a day. When he was awake he had 2-3 hours where he could comprehend what he read and then he'd lose his ability to comprehend. His mental function would fall into severe brain fog. Jerry consulted with the best medical doctors. They told him there were three viruses in his brain. None of the doctors could reverse his illness. Jerry realized that he was going to have to do his own research to reverse his illness, with the 2-3 hours he had each day. Apparently, the surgical face mask he used during Lasik surgeries still allowed some smoke or residue from the procedure (burning the eyeball with a laser) up his
