BACKGROUND
Education in the family is commonly referred to as informal education. The implementation of informal education is not structured or planned systematically but is intensive and carried out according to the needs that exist for each family member. Education in the family must be experienced by a person from birth, in order to develop the potentials that exist in him to become a mature human being both spiritually and physically. In practice, parents are fathers and mothers, as educators and children as educated.
Usually parents, in this case father and mother, always verbally convey things related to basic knowledge about life as humans to their children. Informal education can take place anytime and anywhere. This can be done by telling stories, advising, playing, reprimanding and so on. It is in the family that the process of forming the child's character and personality begins through the experiences conveyed by parents. This is the essential basis in family education.
At the same time, there are elements in the form of education or teachings that are commands and prohibitions. Everything can be realized in preventive action and curative action. Both are needed by parents in directing their children not to get out of the corridor of ethics and morals of religion and society. In this informal education, parents are the main role models for their children. Because the behavior and behavior of parents is a language
that can be heard
by children without fabrication and lies. This is the influence of parents in the child's growth and development process that gives shape and color to his personality.
In essence, every parent has hope that their children will grow and develop into good children, able to distinguish what is good and what is bad, so as not to easily
