AROUND THE WORLD OF WINE IN 52 WEEKS

The beginnings of these wine tastings/meetings stretch back many years, to the early 70s in fact, when one of the authors was completing graduate school. Well, we’ll just let Bob tell you his story in his own words:
As many of you know from personal experience, graduate school is an all-consuming experience. For me, it involved 12-plus hour days of studying, conducting research and providing psychological services in the clinic and out in the community. When I got to the point in my program that I could see the end coming, it occurred to me that I would need a hobby to engage my attention following my leaving this all-consuming graduate student lifestyle.
One sunny day, I met a neighbor on the sidewalks of our apartment complex. During this conversation, this (then) young man told me that his hobby was the study of wines and wine collecting. He invited me to his apartment to see his wine collection,
which was actually merely a few cardboard boxes with bottles of wine stored horizontally in the dividers. He
