About this ebook
God created the sun and moon and earth and every beautiful, wonderful thing on its surface—but there was no one to enjoy all that He had made. He needed someone who would appreciate the beauty, someone to dance in sun and moonlight, swim, and play. God created man and woman but soon discovered his creations were too busy to enjoy the natural miracles around them.
So God created someone smaller with chubby cheeks and a big smile. He created a child, and this child did indeed dance in the moonlight and take the time to enjoy God’s gifts.
Someone to Dance is a charmingly illustrated reminder to appreciate the miracles that God has provided. Author Sara Sommers Dean had great faith in God and built her life upon that faith. Her hope for this sweet story is that it will show kids how much God loves them and that all of us should never lose our childlike wonder.
Sara Sommers Dean
Sara Sommers Dean was born in Urbana, Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University with a teaching degree. She taught elementary school children for 35 years, specializing in reading. She imparted her love of reading and learning to hundreds of children including her own six children and thirteen grandchildren. After retiring Sara wrote her first book, The Old Yellow House, a memoire of her life growing up on a farm in the 1920’s. Someone to Dance came to her in a dream early one morning in Geneva, Ohio where she lived with her husband James. She and her daughter Jeanette, the artist, collaborated to create the vision she believed came from God. Sara had great faith in God and built her life upon that faith. Her hope for this sweet story is that it will help children know how much God loves them and that everyone will have childlike wonder of God’s awesome creations.
