Parent Power: A Workbook for Self-Discovery as a Single Parent
About the Author
Parent Power Preface
Parents and Families today in 2020, are not traditionally defined. The traditional family that consists of two parents with 2.5 kids has changed immensely. There are families that have grandparents raising children. There are families that have single dads raising children. And then there are single mothers raising children. With single mothers raising children being a staple in families today, the percentage is greater than both single dads and grandparents combined. However, according to a US Census Bureau Report from 2016, 23 million families living arrangements are that of single parents, of which mothers, head the household. (Nov,2016)
The parents and families of today need help. They need support. They need POWER! To effectively function and raise a family in today’s climate of technology and social media headliners, a parent can get lost, overwhelmed, even depressed! I raised my children as a single parent! And I understand the plight, the quandary, the tight situations, and the hopelessness! AND through THE GRACE OF GOD, I MADE IT!!
