E. Bernard Smith

Born and raised in New Haven, CT, E. Bernard Smith is a young urban writer with an old soul.  As a former Active Duty US Marine and Underground Lyricist this author is a pure blend of passion, fire and versatility.  He released a sixteen track underground album which sold copies in Connecticut, North Carolina, Georgia, California and Texas. E. Bernard Smith is currently the head writer for Generation Next Magazine, an urban music magazine originating in the East Coast.  He has interviewed some of the hottest names in the hip hop industry and also has three running viewpoints in each issue of the magazine.  E. Bernard is a two time recipient of the Editor's Choice award for outstanding achievement in Poetry.  Poet at heart E. Bernard is also a novelist and is currently hard at work on his second book titled "Dear Love, I surrender".  Ultimately Mr. Smith's goal is to write a motion picture.

There’s something that being around you does to me,

I feel like kissing you on your collar bone, pulling you closely.

Touching you softly and gently while I’m holding you,

My Karma, your Karma blending together, the vibe is controlling you.

Uncontrollable, we are. My Soul, your Soul connecting,

We are becoming one with the universe, indulging in pleasure we are accepting.

I am a Poet you are a Poet, letting our Poetry blend exotically,

As if we were making love chest heaving, deep breathing erotically.

Like a foretold prophecy you lay your head on my chest,

Listen to my heartbeat until we have a dual rhythm, I kiss your neck and breast.

I’m full of excitement and I can see it in your eyes as well,

Our brains say no but it’s hard as hell, our souls say yes, and hearts say might as well.

Give into me, surrender your body and I will surrender mine,

Deny not your feelings I share them with you, kiss me, I kiss you - my hand glides down your spine.

My tongue touches your belly button, your dam breaks and river flows,

You can feel your essence running as I approach your waterfall garden, your eyes are closed.

You’re thinking about what’s happening, wanting to say stop,

You cannot, the moment is right, your entire body is tingling and you quiver when I reach your spot.

What’s come over you, you are wondering but you are entranced.

The feelings are enhanced; this is your first time truly being romanced.

That’s when you release yourself to the galaxy, now the air is calm,

We are now one unit for eternity, no regrets, no inhibitions, embrace me, my palm in your palm.

Now kiss me… This is the essence of Love Poetry.
