About this ebook

The purpose of this book was to show the reader not to accept less than what they deserve. Some people think they need to settle because they have children with someone, the sex is too good, or they do not want to start over again. This book shows that when you make these mistakes, the outcome can lead to some alarming results.
You have to ask yourself, is the person leading you on, or are you asking so much from a person who is not ready to be in a relationship. Sometimes people unknowingly force someone in a relationship by being emotional, and the person who will not commit will feel obligated based on your emotions.
I have also noticed that some people desire one thing initially and later change their minds without the other individual knowing. Never try so hard to keep someone who does not want to be maintained. I want people to read this so they can see the signs and understand their worth. You do not have to be bitter off one person when there are millions to choose from every day.
Again, some people love the attention, and someone else can give you the same kindness. If you knowingly see that you are second, do not stay with that person. It will only get worse.
This book does not have chapters because I am different. I want you to feel as if you are there and not just reading the book.

I t’s cold as hell outside. I have to sit here and wait for this damn bus. I

looked at that schedule before I came outside. The bus said it would be here at 7:00 pm. Where the fuck is this bus? It’s 7:30 pm now. I’m going to be late for work. Here I am sitting, in this damn cold, and I wish I had a car. Then again, my ass will not drive for shit.

Here goes this guy walking. I hope he does not speak to me. I am not in the mood for this thirsty shit tonight. Guys see women at night waiting for a bus, and they always talk to you. I am so over it. I just want to get my bread and move on.

A guy started walking towards her. He had on sweatpants and a sweatshirt. His name is Xavier. He looked at Cecilia as if he didn’t even notice her.

Thank god I thought he was going to be annoying and try and talk to me. A couple of days later, she saw this same guy again.

He was coming from the store, and there she was, alone, waiting for the bus again.

Hey, I don’t want to bother you, but uhm, never mind.

Cecilia thought that it was kind of odd that he just came up and said that.

    Excuse me, what’s up.

"Honestly, I had everything I wanted to say to you, but you make me kind of nervous. I don’t want to say the wrong words.

Cecilia smiled. She never heard a guy use this approach before.

Thank you, she said with a smile.

"Your eyes are unique, and that smile you have is impressive. Has anyone told you that you have the eyes of an angel?

Cecilia didn’t notice her bus was coming. The bus had gone past her. Once Cecilia notices her bus was gone, she became angry. He sees how angry she became from the glare in her eyes.

I needed that bus to get to work.

I am sorry, I didn’t mean it. I just wanted to talk to you. Listen, I have a car. I can drive you where you need to go.

I can’t do that. I barely know you.

Well, I am not crazy. I live right around the corner, and my kids live with me.

I am sorry, thank you. I rather get on the bus. It’s not your fault.

I glance at his face. The stare that I gave him was so intense he could see my annoyance without saying a word.

Another bus was going to be coming soon. Cecilia did not want to take that chance of getting into a stranger’s car. It was bad enough she was talking to him.

I understand. I feel bad. Would you like me to wait with you for the next bus?

    No

Damn, okay, I guess I will go home. Be safe.

Cecilia was irritated even more. She could not afford to be late for her job. It was two hours away from Philadelphia on the bus. The last bus that she needs to catch after the first bus from home leaves at 11 pm.

Oh, my fucking goodness, I miss my bus. I am not trying to be late for work. I am on my second strike with this job.

Cecilia loved to work. She seems to have everything for herself as long as she didn’t get involved with men. Cecilia does not know how to focus when she is in a relationship.

Cecilia is forty years old and could pass for a teenager or her early twenties.

Cecilia has a daughter named Lyrica Harris. Lyrica is a songwriter a poet, and the way she sings will make you cry tears of joy.

Lyrica stayed working out daily, and she is a true vegan. She didn’t believe in no meat. Everything had to be plant-based.

Let me check to see when this next bus comes. Cecilia used her phone to google search and checked to see when the next bus came. The time showed the next bus arrives at 9:00 p.m. Cecilia was furious, so she called a uber.

I can’t believe I have to spend more money to get the fuck to work. The uber came in ten minutes for Cecilia. The only problem is she had to share the ride with someone else. The customer was intoxicated. He kept trying to talk to her and get her phone number. Cecilia was getting very annoyed.

Man, this cannot be life. Please just let me get to work safely and in peace!

Cecilia arrived to work, running to the time clock.

    Hey everyone! said Cecilia

Cecilia was in the breakroom with her co-workers. She had been at her job for five years, working overnight. She works at a nursing home. Cecilia stayed to herself in her neighborhood. However, when she went to work, she was very social.

Xavier had been living in the West oak lane section for about seven years. He had his own house, and he drove a Mercedes-Benz. He took care of his kids by himself.

Xavier was home thinking about Cecilia while watching television. He knew he wanted to see her again. He felt like it was going to be impossible now.

The next day came. Cecilia decided to wait for the bus a little earlier. She did not want to run into the guy from yesterday, and she tried to get to work on time.

It worked out well for her for a while. She would leave out at the same time every day. Until one day she saw him.

    Xavier walked over towards her.

Hi …How are you? My name is Xavier. He said

Cecilia glance at him. She notices his eyes, his physique, his voice, the waves in his hair, his tattoos, and she damn near wanted to melt.

Hi Xavier... she said, pausing to pronounce his name correctly

Yeah, I’m sorry for having you missed your bus the other day. I can give you a ride to work if you like.

"That sounds tempting, but my job is far, and I don’t even know you. I told you that before. Cecilia replied

Hey, it’s cool. Can I get your number instead? said Xavier

Well, I mean, you’re cute and all, but I’m not trying to be talking to nobody right now. I’m trying to stay to myself. I got myself married to the money. said Cecilia

Give me a break. I want to show you something different, said Xavier

Ok, I guess, she said, with a smile

Damn, you have some pretty ass white teeth. I love your smile, Xavier said

Xavier had a thing for women who kept their self up and had all of their teeth. He liked Cecilia at first glance. He felt the vibe that she had her head on straight.

Cecilia gave him her number. He had a wristwatch, and he put her number in his wristwatch.

Wait! What is that?? said Cecilia,

You ain’t never seen a phone with a wristwatch to it. I can use my watch to make phone calls and text and do everything else." Said, Xavier

Oh, that’s hot. How old are you, Xavier?

    Cecilia started to chuckled

Why you laugh? I’m thirty-two years old, said Xavier

I’m forty years old. I am laughing because I did not notice how fine you were until now, said Cecilia

Thank you. Damn, you look young as shit! Let me see some ID. You look like a baby, said Xavier

Cecilia pulled out her wallet, and she showed Xavier her ID.

Damn, you look good as hell for your age! That smile girl it lights up the whole room, said Xavier

Thank you. My bus coming, so look, I am going to hit you up later, said Cecilia

My offer still on the table to take you to work, said Xavier

    Naw, I’m cool, said Cecilia

Cecilia got on that bus happy.

I could of let him give me a ride to one of the buses. I know this is a long ride, though. He could be some stalker, too, and come up to my job one day being reckless. It has happened to me before. I don’t need to make that mistake again. I know what I will do. I will just text him.

Soon as Cecilia was about to text Xavier. He had called her first.

Hey, what’s up, Cee- Cee. I hope you don’t mind me calling you that. said Xavier

Oh no, you’re cool. I don’t mind you calling me that. No one has called me that since I was younger. I was just about to text you, and you called me first. Said Cecilia

Oh, ok. Damn, you are so attractive. Why are you single? said Xavier

I caught my ex cheating while I was scrolling through the pages on Facebook. He had got locked up, and this gorilla-looking bitch was all happy to say that he was with her in the comments. He told me he was in jail with his first phone call. I broke up with him while he was in jail. When he got out, he married her

Oh damn, that’s, fuck up. Well, listen, my baby mother and me, we are separated right now. However, I am not going to hold you, but I still fuck her. said Xavier

Damn, that’s a little bold. Said, Cecilia

Naw, I’m just keeping it real with you. That’s giving you a choice to deal with me while I’m with my baby mom. You women always say guys never give you all a choice. So, don’t do that, said Xavier

No, that’s what’s up. I like it. Besides, you and I are going to to be friends. said Cecilia

Cool, now that we got that understanding, what are you looking for, said Xavier

"I’m not looking for nothing but companionship, no strings attached. However, if you decide you will be with your baby mom exclusively or someone else permanently, I am out. I cannot stay around for that.
