La grave tragedia de estas quemaduras me llevó a embarcarme en este viaje de curar a tantos niños como fuera possible. Pero nunca pensé por mí misma, que mismo estando completamente saludable y activa, mi vida cambiaría para siempre con estas dos palabras: "ES CÁNCER.” El diagnóstico de cáncer cambió completamente mi mundo, y el tratamiento me quitó tanta energía mental, física y espiritual que parecía que no se había quedado nada en mí. Mientras yo luchaba contra el cancer, mi nieto Adam comenzó a leer para animarme, y mi nieta Izza, con sus juguetes, me ayudó a desarrollar los personajes de este libro.
