About this ebook
This book is volume 2 in the "Living, Laughing and Loving with Asperger's" series.
Looking for inspiration as the parent of a child with Asperger's?
Well I’ve been helping parents of children with Asperger’s since 2006. And one thing I’ve noticed is the need for hope and positivity. As day to day life raising a child with Asperger’s can often be tough.
And whilst there’s lots and lots of “how to . . .” books. Dealing with all aspects of Asperger’s like school problems . . . meltdowns . . . sensory issues . . . social skills . . . sibling relationships . . . and more (I’ve even written a number of them myself). There are few books offering inspiration and hope.
Over the past 18 months I’ve been sending a daily email message (5 days per week) to 1000’s of parents of children with Asperger’s around the world. These messages are positive (at times humorous) and full of practical day to day “survival tips” for parents.
They are almost always short little real life stories. As I believe stories are one of the best ways to communicate with people. They can inspire and add light into otherwise dark corners. Think about your life growing up for a second. I bet you loved stories as kids – and learned so much from them.
So I’ve taken some of the most popular short stories/tips I’ve written (as judged by parents who’ve read them) and produced this book. I’ve also added some tips and stories that were shared by parents of children with Asperger’s themselves.
And for the sake of symmetry there’s 52 tips/stories in total (you know one for every week!):
28 parenting tips/stories from me.
15 tips from other parents.
9 real life stories from other parents.
I really hope you enjoy this book: Living, Loving and Laughing with Asperger’s (52 Tips, Stories and Inspirational Ideas for Parents of Children with Asperger's) Volume 2
Dave Angel
Back in 2006 Dave Angel was working with a child who has Asperger's Syndrome and went to do some research online. He was surprised to find that there wasn't really that much helpful information available for parents of children with Asperger's Syndrome. And so over the past ten years he has been publishing a free Asperger's online blog and daily email tip; that provides help and support for thousands of parents every week.
