About this ebook

These works are designed to stimulate the thought process of the reader, reminiscing past experiences and relating to current situations ensuring awareness beneficial in the future.
These thought provoking literary works address all faucets of life, which people worldwide can relate to with none being unique to any one individual.
This book was conceived having lived and experienced real-life situations, some personally, some witnessed and others perceived. Beginning as a child growing up in Kingston Jamaica at a time when politics began to take a foothold on the island. It started with the insurgence of politicians who saw the need to create division between childhood friends as a means of achieving their agenda. The requirement was to choose a political party dependent on where you lived, becoming an activist taking no prisoners to elevate the cause.
I am grateful for those individuals who saw in me what I did not see in myself.

    About the Author

    Dedication.jpg

To my mom, Annie Mae Dyer (October

    14, 1912–February 25, 2007)

She was my first teacher, whose uncanny wisdom,

vision, and knowledge has helped to sustain lives in

our family, extended family, and acquaintances. Many

individuals have traveled thousands of miles to seek

her advice and counseling, never leaving disappointed,

    expressing profound appreciation and gratitude.

EXPECT ANYTHING FROM ANYONE AT ANYTIME,

AS YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT A PERSON MAY

SAY OR DO WHEN IT’S CONVENIENT.

    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

I first give thanks to the Almighty Father for his grace, loving-kindness, and for his guidance and protection in all aspects of my life, without which this project would be impossible.

These works would not have been completed without the effort and understanding of gifted people, whose thoughts and perspective played an integral role in bringing it to fruition.

I wish to thank my beautiful wife, Marjorie; children, Sheronette, Vivette, Karlene (Cess) Tremayne, Tanika, Trevena, Xavier, Kristoff, and Raheim; grandchildren, Quewana Blake, Jovani White, Nya Griffiths, Nalani Griffiths, and Nehemiah Griffiths; and great-grandchild Rylee Thomas.

To Ambrozene Cherry Epo, my sister, who has been an immeasurable source of continued inspiration, and to Dr. Conrad Dyer, I convey appreciation for constantly encouraging me to document my thoughts and experiences over the years.

You all have been my inspiration, and I thank you.

To the Allman Town community in Kingston, Jamaica, where I grew up, guided by the teachings of stalwarts Jeremiah Miah Carr, the first Rastafarian with whom I interacted, and Winston Dada Allen, my mentor. Pastor of Saint Matthews Church, the Reverend Weeville Gordon, whose spiritual guidance sustained the community. Also of critical importance was Vincent Buckles Henry of Rosemary Lane Southside Kingston, all from whom I learned different aspects of the streets where the molding of my existence was formulated.

    I am forever grateful.
