About this ebook

This book will take you into some deep, passionate, and personal moments of my life and of the lives of some of my family members. You will be able to take a closer look into life of Lucille, Author of the book “A Faith Worth Passing On” and some of her family members. I tell you that with faith and a relationship with God you will have favor that will take you places you cannot imagine. Further it shows how having faith in God will cause mountains to move, walls to crumble and enemies made low.

Furthermore, the author entreats you to find purpose within you. Many of the trials in her life will help you understand that when God takes you through different storms, he has already anointed, and appointed you in the area of your affliction so you will be able to minister and help somebody else. Lucille brings witness that the many storms she overcomes are to help minister to and pray someone through. The author submits that she learned early in life to put her trust, (faith and confidence) in God. For each valley, there is a mountain top. It is for sure that no one knows what the future holds, but the one thing for sure we know who holds your tomorrow. You are encouraged throughout the pages to never give up or give out. No matter what happens in life to keep holding on, because there is always light at the end of every tunnel and a rainbow after every storm.

To the memory of my mother, Ms. Ellen W. Boykin. Watching her ride the tides and waves of some category-five storms in her life reminds me of the many dangerous storms in my life. My family members have survived major storms and been forced to live with the nasty aftermath of many devastating blows. I also dedicate this book to my granddaughter, Kelsey A. Dorsey, and her son, Kyle Micah Davis. This very young mother faith staked everything she had and totally relied upon the Lord, and God gave Kyle the chance to teach many people the real meaning of love.

My main purpose is to enlighten readers about many of the vicissitudes, highlights, and challenges my family and I faced that caused dis-ease, threats, and damages—and an unpleasant aftermath. The goodness of God still prevails, and He purposed many victories in our lives.

The many unpleasantries and victories allow me to witness and help bring ease to many lives of all nationalities. I walk in the expectation of helping people find their way to God—and His purposes and plans for their lives—because of the victories God has given me. My victories far outweigh the defeats, and I refuse to let defeat have the last word in any situation I face. I constantly stand in the gap for my family and anyone I meet, and I stand in the Word of God daily.

This book will take you into some deep, passionate, and personal moments of my life and the lives of some of my family members. Some of these are wow moments, and you will be able to take a closer look into the life the author and the lives of some of her family members.

    FOREWORD

It is a great honor to be connected to the author of this writing, Elder Lucille Fagin, which will bring peace to and strengthen the faith of everyone who reads this book. The main purpose of the writer is to highlight confrontations of family dis-ease, threats, and damages that will hit the coast of your life.

She lets you know that God has goodness and mercy for all unpleasantries, and victory comes in the life of every believer who fears and believes in Him. It may be important to fasten your seatbelts as many have, while taking a glimpse into her journey of life. Be warned, however, that while reading, you will hit some highs and lows as the turbulence smashed the coast of her life more times than this book will tell. I am both grateful and excited for having the opportunity to look into the life of a single mother who transitions to the wife, preacher, teacher, and author and pushes through the many challenges of life, including education, health, employment, marriage, and spiritual calling.

After meeting this anointed vessel, a mother-daughter relationship was quickly developed, and it is very fruitful and spiritual fulfilling. I accept and acknowledge this powerful woman, preacher, and profound teacher of the Gospel as a spiritual coach because of the vast amount of knowledge she shares with us daily.

I will be forever grateful to God for granting us the opportunity to witness the anointing flowing through this vessel while she preaches and teaches to set the captives free. Her life bears witness to her strength through overcoming trials by faith in all affairs. (She does not look like what she had been through).

She is always looking to the hills where her help comes from, overcoming the obstacles that came to destroy her soul. She has one of the sweetest most effective chastising voices you could ever hear. Her parables of life make you stretch deeper and wider—while checking your inner self with self-care, love, accountability, and responsibility.

As life continues to give her many lemons, Elder Lucille Fagin makes sweet lemonade by opening her heart, home, and wallet to many in their times of need. Even after facing many instances of betrayal, abuse, misunderstandings, and feeling unappreciated, she still stands the test of time.

She is a humanitarian in her own right. She lives by the fact that with God, she wins every time. A Faith Worth Passing On: My Mother’s Attributes of Faith is a phenomenal representative of godly personality, character, faith, and wisdom. The writer shares some of the wisdom from her mother (no test, no testimony; no cross, no crown). She views herself as an imperfect being with godly character.

From my heart, I am godly proud of you—spiritual coach, friend, and spiritual mother—as you continue your journey in the Lord. I know that each round will take you deeper and deeper, and higher and higher, as you stay connected to the Father and stay the course of your journey.

    Your Spiritual daughter,

    Pastor Sharon Thompson

    PREFACE

I have already come through many dangers, toils, and snares. Because of God, I have been able to grab hold of a fragment and stay the tides to allow the waves from the storms of life that force me to land safely on shore.

My intent is to be very transparent in this writing by sending help to those who are fortunate enough to read this book and for those who need help in making it through because the seas are angry because of the winds of life.
