    PREFACE

Detailed by chapter and interspersed with poetry, A Walk with God expresses various aspects of daily Christian living, including the challenges and triumphs that offer hope, not only in this life but also eternally.

I am thankful for my heritage, thankful for a genuine Bible experience, and thankful to know the oneness of God our Savior and soon-coming King. Pentecostals are well-known for their praise and worship. Thank God for that, but there is a personal walk that He desires to take with us, a path that each individual must find, a true relationship with Him. Jesus is the light shining across our path. He will lead us and guide us each step of the way. Exodus 33:14 reads, And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. Sometimes He speaks loud and clear, and sometimes He speaks in a still small voice. King David was known as a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22). Jesus said in Matthew 11:29, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, and in Philippians 3:10, Paul said, That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death".

It’s my desire to walk worthy of the Lord as expressed in Colossians 1:10–11: That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness.

As we read in Song of Solomon 2:10, My beloved spake, and said unto me, rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.

It is my prayer that this testimony of my journey will somehow encourage the reader to know that God Almighty is still on the throne and is involved in our daily lives.

All poetry contained in Walk with God is the work of the author, most of which is scripture based. It was written over the many years of her walk with God.
