I would like to personally, and publicly, say thank you to prophetess Kimberly Green. She is not only my barber, but she spoke into my life on a number of occasions. One time in particular, while attending my then church home of Empowerment Temple in Waverly, Virginia, at the end of service she prayed over me and told me things. She said, God says that he sees you. He wants you to stay before his face. She also said that he told her to tell me that he wants me to write a book.

At the time, although I had written small instructional pamphlets in the past, a book seemed a little bit extreme to me. It seemed as if it would be too much work, and would consume so much time. But thanks to God, and the obedience of this awesome woman of God, I never forgot the words that she spoke into my life. This book is a product of that. Thank you Kimberly Green.

I would also like to take time to thank Apostle Wyche for allowing the Lord to use him to speak prophetically into my life as well. I remember one Sunday afternoon, as our church was fellow-shipping with their church ministry, he was about to close out on his sermon. At this time, I stood up and walked to the doorway to begin to intercede in prayer for people to receive Christ into their heart. This is something that I regularly do at my home church due to me strongly believing in spiritual warfare. I am aware of how the enemy uses people, things, and even fear, to keep people from accepting Jesus. To combat his tactics, out of instinct and spiritual guidance, I normally go into prayer; no matter where I am.

As I stood in the doorway, he looked in my direction and said, There is a heavy anointing on you son. I then looked behind me to see if he was talking to someone behind me, or close to me. He said, I’m talking to you. The Lord is going to use you in a mighty way. Your reading is about to increase. Your writing is about to increase. God is about to use you mightily against the kingdom of darkness. Then he instructed me to lift my hands as he prayed for me.

To be honest, I was thinking to myself, I know I can read good. And what is it about this writing? I pondered these things to myself, and just accepted the words in faith. But the words that he spoke were no lie. The Lord grew an amazing love for his word inside of me. It became my pleasure. It became something that I love to do. And as you can see, the writing part, well you are holding it in your hands. Glory to your name King Jesus! And thank you Apostle Wyche.

I would also like to say thank you to my wife Angel Dandridge-Riddick for being the awesome woman of God that she is. She has always been an encouraging voice in my ear to let me know that I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. Not only would she push me to complete tasks, she is also a published author herself. Honestly, I was the person to complete my book first, but due to finances, I could not get my book published. She is the one that faced these same issues, looked them eye to eye, and walked straight through all obstacles she had been facing. This, most of all, is that which gave me the mindset to push forward. Seeing her example set the standard for myself. Thank you Angel. Having someone in my corner that desires to see me succeed makes my job so much easier.
