I lived my life in the weirdest of ways. In everything, I was always weird, so I decided that I want to be special. I was watching TV one day when I saw an interview with a female Kuwaiti poet. I really loved the way she read her first poem to the public in the show. I enjoyed her accent, as well as her voice that drifted along with the words she spoke. Everything flowed together like a boat on water. It was a magical moment that triggered the biggest inspiration of my life. Ever since that day, I couldn’t stop writing. I just remember that I went straight to my room and started writing. It was like a button that got pressed that changed everything in my life to a journey of success. Just like I said, I lived my life in the weirdest of ways, could you explain that?

Ahmed Ghanim

Ahmed Abdulaziz last born of six kids always dreamed of being a writer at age 12 when he was in the UK. He is Kuwaiti and lived most of his life in Kuwait but studied in the UK at grade seven and eight before returning to his home country. He got the inspiration for writing about shadows of a victim because as a kid he always fantasized about running away from home, which he never had to do, so he decided to write about it. He loves Kuwait because there is a lot to do there, especially with the new mega projects there working on. Ahmed always finds inspiration in Kuwait and especially at 360 mall and cannot wait until the tennis court next to it that is going to be attached to it is finished. As a writer, he enjoys walking in malls and other parks in Kuwait. The shadow series is his first stage play series and he plans to write more.

Beautiful Beginning

I stood still and watched a scene of true beauty

Pretty colors, birds singing, and swirling clouds within my room

As I stared and glared, I felt inner peace

Nature shining its light upon me

Shining so bright it glowed around me and on every sight

I realized and noticed what I yearned for

I knew where I belonged and which place was home

The adventures I had tied me here and stuck to me like glue

Every part of me longed to escape to fly far away

Fly to somewhere free of problems and never come back

To free myself of negativity

From sadness, pain, and tragedy

That soon will approach me

The vision in my room began to fade, disappear, and evaporate

I was not worried; I now know how to fight the troubles of life

An Enchanting Kingdom

Pretty stars in every mountain of beauty and youth

Magical kingdoms speaking the only truth

Smells of heavenly flowers dwell in the air

Elves singing a song of love and care

The dimension of unbelievable heavenly love

A place to freely see and explore

The unbelievable person you truly are

Deserving the fantastic life you want

Freeing yourself willingly

To the power of this place of clarity

A place to walk, wander around

Where lost dreams are magically found

Old trees of golden fire talk and tell

Speaking wisdom as people pass all day and night

I make a plan and seek for help

Searching, thinking with mind and head

Needing to get what I want really fast

Hope for the best and start at last
