      Friendships are the lights that determine the shadows we cast. "Show me your friends and I will show you your future," this paradigm is essential; it is an understanding that must be accepted if one is to benefit from this powerful but simple work. When I use the term "simple," my reference would not demean the author's work, rather it means that we all can grasp the meaning put forth in this book. It is the consequences of our choices that make the difference. Application of the knowledge we gain either from instructional confirmation or from the lessons we learn from our choices - both render results. Where the difference counts are in the quality of how we affect others - we cannot "not" affect others. Therein, we come to a conclusion - our friends' matter - to all of our friendships. Finally, be careful who you call your "friend," because your "true friends" might notice too, that is, who you are calling your friend.
