Chapter 1

L E T’ S Have Church

We went Bethlehem Baptist Church where my grandfather Edward Milton. I was the pastor at in 1980. The church was in Norfolk, Virginia. I taught Sunday school. We had three Sunday school classes, also had a children choir. Wewe mother played the organ and piano.

When we lost the church. I was unhappy. Because someone had left something near the heater and it caught on fire. A whole church had burn up.

We all get Baptist at the beach. We had took the whole church down there. We had took some towels to dry off with. The water was cold.

They had the Christmas play. That we had to practice for. We had that at night. We had played as the Sheppard, baby Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, sang songs, and read some poems.

We had about 11 people. My grandparents drove the blue church van up there. We had packed the cooler with drinks, mayonnaise, mustard, hotdogs, and hamburger. We had took all this with us.

They had took us to Kings Dominion. We had to take your own food. We cooked on the grill and making sandwiches, eating hotdogs, hamburger, drinking soda. After we ate and then we went back into the park.

Secondly, we had attended True Gospel Church in Chesapeake, VA, but they moved to Virginia, Beach. My uncle Eugene Coffee was the pastor. I want there in 1991. We had an adult choir. We had four Sunday school class. They had Vocation Bible School we also take a T-shirt in to iron on Jesus patches on your t shirt, etc. Our uncle Clinton E. Coffee had Baptist use for the second time at the beach He visited a couple of church. That’s where I had met my friend Maxine Trice at a church in Virginia Beach, Va. We receive certificate for passing to the next grade, and graduation. They had few members at the church. Most of them member was old people who already passed away. While uncle Eugene was preaching. I was sitting there listening to him. He was preaching on repentance.

We went to North Carolina, New York. When my uncle got out of the military and Kristy graduation. That’s when we drove up to New York. To see him get his certificate. He was in the military for twenty years. While we was up there in New York. We had rode on the boat, shopping at the mall.

Third, we been at Bible way Holiness Church for fifteen years. Our bishop is William J. Faison. The church is on 2025 Dexter Street in Chesapeake, Virginia. We have five choirs the men choir, young adult choir, senior choir, children choir, women choir at your church. They have eight Sunday school classes. The primary class, young adult class, men class, senior class, preteen class, three women class. We have services on Sunday Morning and Sunday night and bible study on Tuesday night, Thursday night missionary service. Special programs are sometime held on entire week such as the church anniversary, choir anniversary.

They have a baptism pool. That they Baptist people in on Sunday. For those people who never been Baptist before. Sometime they have more than one person to Baptist on Sunday.

Ruth Lyn Simpson Sunday school class. I want to Sunday school class every Sunday. Ruth Lyn had the young adult Sunday school class. I didn’t receive nothing when I came to Sunday school. I want up there to talk on the lesson. We had about thirty people in that Sunday school class. Sunday school teachers like all make the young adult dropout of Sunday school class. We all went up there to speak on the lesson. Because Are no longer interest in that. Some Sunday school teacher is and discourage their students. Wewe like Sunday school a lot. I enjoyed myself in Sunday school class. Then I got promote to Mildred Vinson Sunday School class. In Sister Vinson Sunday School. We had a lot of students.

Sometime I get up a talked on the topic. They give us and topic for next Sunday school lesson. I never study my lesson for Sunday. I just looked over the topic. A just said something from the top of my head

Recreational Activities

We have several softball teams. We sign up at the recreation center or BM Williams’s school.

The two names are the Shooting Stars, aces, New Horizon, Demons, etc. We had hot dogs and e still played your softball game. The blenches was wet. Playing we played some games at the BM Williams and Sparrow Road Elementary School. I was on the Shooting Stars and the Aces. We had hotdogs, hamburgers, etc. on opening day. They had sung the star spangle banner on
