Welcome, work-at-home mom! I’m so glad you’ve decided to dive into this book and learn some ways to Do Life Different. Perhaps you’ve chosen to work from home to answer the needs of your family, to make yourself more available for opportunity, or to have more personal flexibility. Whatever your reason, you’ve no doubt found that, like all journeys, the one of the work-at-home mom bears its own set of challenges.

These devotions are truly written from my heart to yours. Each day's writing is taken from lessons God has taught (and is teaching) me during my quiet times with Him. I may not be able to answer the specifics of your individual concerns, but I can help you dig into scripture and find out what God says about them.

When my kids were small and still at home with me all day every day, I kept a copy of a devotional in the bathroom. It was the only place where I might be lucky enough to have two minutes to myself to read, savor, and ponder what God might have for me that day. I would carry those words around and meditate on what God had said to me the rest of the day. His Word carried me through those wonderful but exhausting years.

We've included 52 devotions. That's just one per week. So, if you're like me and struggle to find time to get deep in God's Word I pray that these will help make it just a bit easier for you. And if you do use this as a weekly devotional, I would
