About this ebook
De'Rico Scott-Pringle
De’Rico is an author from Myrtle Beach South Carolina. He was always introverted as a child so creative writing at a young age really helped him express himself and shared his views/opinions to the people around him. He wants to share this book with other young adults to help them by explaining that we all struggle with our emotions and checking on our mental health is important.

Section 1
Genesis
"This is me recalling how it all started:
It began with our eyes flirting, looking back at each other
And looking up to the ceiling like the wandering sky
as I didn’t even know
your name but I knew that this was going to go
Somewhere that just might be big enough to change
My life, and boy, you sure did change everything for
Either better or for worse, I honestly can’t
Tell but you did taught me lessons that I’ll never
Forget, living everyday without the memory of
You slipping away is both a blessing and a curse,
A prayer and a spell, a revelation and a mystery,
And yes
We were over before we even started,
Yet somewhere in the middle we made history.
I haven’t been reading that signs that
Foreshadow the outcome to save myself
From the heartbreak."
Summer of ’99: The Beginning
"…Remember when love was the passion that
Brought us together but hate was the force that
Broke us apart?
I was never the same after you left and that
Remains to this day…"
The Night We First Met
"We felt it in our bones, a vibration that traps itself
Into a language only you and I could understand
With our mouths hanging open, our movements
Get so hidden in a new-found rhythm, it felt like
We could dance the night away as long as the
Night shall live, or until we drift off to sleep…
To find ourselves in the mystery of an afternoon."
10:50 AM
"My cheeks melt off from the heat of my face
When you glance at me with this innocence
Carried by the motion in your eyes,
I stare at the floor to make my body comfortable
In this oxygen that we’re sharing,
In situations like these,
There’s a feeling of hopelessness I can’t
Describe,
You don’t know what you’re doing to me,
Or
Maybe you do,
I can’t tell if you’re hiding
