Lina Ng Mui San graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science and Information Systems) in 1992. Thereafter, she worked in the Information Technology (IT) industry for eighteen years, starting off her career with the National Computer Board. When she left Oracle Corporation in 2009, she held the position of IT Principal Consultant II.

Herself an excellent example, Lina is a firm advocate of lifelong learning. Juggling family, work and church ministry since the year 2000, she has continually sought to upgrade and equip herself with practical knowledge and skills. Today, she holds a Master of Arts in Pastoral Works from the Asian Pastoral Institute (2008), a Master of Divinity from the Koinonia Theological Seminary (2011) and a Master in Business Administration from the Ateneo de Davao University (2014).

Lina is married to Gideon Lau with two children Joel and Joann. The idea of being a missionary family to Davao, Philippines, was first put across to the couple in 2007. Subsequently, the family went through two years of preparation before finally moving to Davao City on 16 May 2009. Since then, she has followed Gideon’s calling and served together with him as a Missionary Pastor with the Tabernacle Church and Missions, Singapore.

Their ministry in the years that followed has not been smooth sailing, yet the couple have remained steadfast, courageous and at times, enterprising in their efforts. Despite the constant struggles, windows of opportunities have continually presented themselves as they seek directions from God. The difficult times have also helped to strengthen the bonds within the family and served as a reminder of God’s grace and mercy in their lives.
