Ms. Rosetta D. Jenkins was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. To Mr. Charles W. Marshall and Ms. Irene M. Porter. I was raised by my mother. Special hands on also was, my grand mother, my uncles, a couple of aunts. My older sisters, and cousin my step father, and my God father. I grow up with my siblings and cousins. That was when the village still had a hand in raising everyone's children. My Mother welcomed the neighborhood as her own. We didn't have much but, we were the happiest and most loved family in the city. I attended, Edward Gideon Elementary, Strawberry Mansion Jr. Sr. High School, Community College of Philadelphia, Gordon Phillips, Pic and Corp, for job readiness. Ben Franklin evening, for word perfect. I trained and received my Med Certification. On April 17, 2009 I’ve attained my Childcare Management Diploma through Penn Foster Career School. I work with children and adults with special needs. I am a Certified Para-Professional, Private Contractor. Working within the Upper Darby School District. It Is not just a job, but a professional attitude. I have assisted DSH in emergency placement on several occasions. I believe education is never ending, if you’re willing to be receptive

    Growing Up in the Hood During the 70’s

    Ms. Rosetta D. Jenkins, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Raised by her mother, grandmother, her mothers siblings, her cousins, and older sister. Rosetta is one of nine children. She attended public school. Graduated from Strawberry Mansion High School then went on to attend Community College of Philadelphia.

    Over the years she furthered her education. Received a Child Care Management Diploma while raising her children. Rosetta and her children are close. She works in the School District, and as a home health assistant. She still resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

    She is a devoted mother, and passionate friend. Loves singing, dancing, gardening, and painting. Affectionately bonded with her grandchildren. She set forth a goal to write four books. This is her second. Holding a special spot in her heart is her great grandson Kaiden, and grandson Mekhi.
