Liquid Glass - Julia Howson
SEPARATED BY CHOICE
42357.pngPulled in different directions by hearsays. World turned upside down, years in the making. Typical erratic behaviors so great with slinging words pelting out loud enough to be heard.
Through the whirlwind storm of anger and hurt, a feeling of no belonging, with no regrets, lost on both sides.
Individual opinions already settled in each negative mind.
Distance in the families to the eyes that are looking on.
No one cares to secure what’s broken.
With complete loss of hope, there is no forgiveness.
We never prayed together.
Don’t think there was ever a bond to begin with—or was there?
For any second chances, there is none.
Everyone in his or her own personal, heartless feelings,
If there ever was a time for unity, it’s behindhand now.
You, me, we, us walking around
With couldn’t-care-less faces that could cut a piece of glass,
Passing each other like strangers in concert,
The choices we made are of our own actions we put forth, now separated by the choices that we choose.
YESTERDAY, TOMORROW A BLUR
42357.pngDon’t let sadness override your contentment to happiness.
Live your joy of life for today, and make as if yesterday, tomorrow don’t exist.
Today, we know for sure, is unquestionable.
May this present day be consistently available in your life.
Hold on tight, and clasp it with eager arms.
Make yesterday, tomorrow a blur,
And live in the moment for today.
I AM
42357.pngI am he, lost in the storms of the wrathful sea,
Livid at the world that forsakes the aspect of my being,
Trying desperately to find my inner he.
Steadfast, I’m he, in search of happiness once familiar.
I am he, not scared of the dead that lies still beneath
But afraid of the living shadows lurking the stationary walls,
Hopelessly aiming for covered shelter.
I am he, trying to survive in this world of unfairness,
Crawling with purpose from behind the massive boulders of
