Spiritual World of Twins

About this ebook
This was because having twins was considered a curse that befell the family, and that family would be excommunicated by the rest of the community if such evil of having twins ever came to light. This was the belief of some cities in the eastern part of Nigeria in the olden days, until the arrival of a missionary from Scotland by the name of Mary Mitchell Slessor. Mary made the people see twins as a blessing rather than a taboo by preaching and teaching. She stopped people from abandoning twins in the forest to be killed and eaten by animals or used as a sacrifice. May the soul of Mary Mitchell Slassor rest in perfect peace. Amen.

Chapter 1
Abe: Abi, my sister, we’ve been in the spirit world for such a long time, without going back to land of the living, with no idea when to go back to join the living people.
Abi: My lovely brother, I always think about what you just mentioned, but after thinking about it, the problems why we are still here in the spirit world. The reason is that after thinking of what we went through when we were born twins, as we were taken into forest, abandoned a day babies in the forest to be killed and eating by wild animals, just because of their ignorant mind saying that human beings should not have two children at the same time, seeing it as taboo, kind of abomination that no family want to associate with in Nigeria and so many African countries, so they believed, just to get out of such a taboo story, the best is, take the twins far into the forest and abandon them in the forest for wild animals to eventually hear the cry of the suffering twins. The sin they never created, just arrived to the world of the living, only to face such unfair senseless punishment because they came as twins.
Abe: Abi did you remember the way we were taken into the forest on that evil, never to be forgotten day, with no feeling of love, abandoned in the forest with out wiping the baby born blood in our body, beating by rain, of which that was the first and last meal we had (the rain that entered our mouth as it was raining on that evil day and that was the meal we had.) After the rain, both of us started shivering out of cool from the rain, left in the forest with no cover of any cloth, just left under a tree.
I remembered as the darkness of the night came, as you stopped crying, I thought that you died and started praying for my death to come because the pain, hunger and knowing full well that no one loves us for coming to the land of the living as twins in Nigeria.
I was asking myself, where did we go wrong as twins? we did not create ourselves as twins, and after thinking that my suffering partner is now dead, I just asked for nothing but death, suddenly as the day brightened, you started crying- mar mar mar mar mar, two things came to my mind- she is still alive or am I just dreaming? - when will she know that the Mar she is crying for will never come to us again not to talk of the man that put us into her womb, why? No love for us because we are twins, no crime committed. I could no longer ask for death
