INTRODUCTION
I n (Matthew 25:34 KJV,) Jesus said; Then shall the King say unto them on his right han d, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
(Matthew 25:31-40 KJV) God has prepared a place for his, Called, Chosen, and faithful ‘and/or’ his ‘Elect,’ referring to the ‘Election’ that are predestinated. However,
we must be ‘ready’ for his appearing. In (Matthew 25:13 KJV,) Jesus said;
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." (Matthew 25:1-13 KJV)
Reading from the old and new testament, God has told us, he has prepared a place for his Elect, (those that, many believe, are God’s predestinated,
and I lean that way.) These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful." (Revelation 17:14 KJV)
The called, chosen and faithful are looking, waiting and, ready
for his soon return.
The call is to everyone that hears the gospel; however, not all, hearers
of the word, hear the ‘gospel/word’.
(Matthew 13:13-17 KJV)
And we must remember the ten virgins in (Matthew 25:1-13 KJV,) all were invited to the wedding. All were in travel to the wedding. Five were foolish, and didn’t make plains to stay ready, in case plans were delayed or changed
Our, Lost
Christian Community
H i, my name is Jim Howard, and I would like to share with you some of my loose memoirs
dating back in years. These include; observations ‘of things’ going on, rights in relationship to my life, teachings of Christ in home and church, political views from radio news.
Also; ideas from group conversations, going to school and pastor of churches for some twenty years.
These memoirs are, very much
in the rough, are not itemized, not systematically arranged or homiletically outlined. I wrote these thoughts from time to time and at different times and places as I would think of them in a specific situation. Each one
has to do with our Christian community, being lost.
God said; Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah,
hath ‘profaned’ the holiness of the Lord which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.
(Malachi 2:11 KJV)
These memoirs deal with, our Christian community
; not only in
the world, but falling in love ‘with’ the world
and becoming part
of the world, and miss going to heaven.
Our Christian community, has profaned
the holiness
of our Lord. That strange god our Christian community has fallen in love with is, Satan
the god of this word, because, many ‘charismatic wolves’ in sheep cloths, are preaching his message, and has, ‘deceived many’.
(Matthew 7:22-23 KJV) And being deceived, many
of these are, enjoying ‘their trip’ to hell,
thinking they are going to heaven.
I have interlaced some segments together with a lot of repeated questions, repeated scriptures, repeated phrases and repeated ‘agains’, and some repeated answers that I have gotten from people ‘disagreeing’ with me.
I don’t mind people disagreeing with me; however, I would rather they agreed. Also, I have punctuated scripture that isn’t punctuated in the KJV of the Bible, which some Bible students, don’t care for, but that’s okay. In some of my memoirs, I write as though, I am talking to you.
Bear with me on that, because I am talking, okay ‘writing’ to you.
Again, Jesus did say; Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
(Matthew 7:21 KJV) We shun to believe this; however, our Christian community appears to be, the many
that are denied God’s Kingdom on, Judgment Day.
(Matthew 22:14 KJV)
I’m aware, many
will say; Oh, ‘surely’ not!
That word, many
sometimes gets abused; because sometimes, it tells more truth
than we want to hear. They may be part of that, many,
that know they are going to heaven, when they are not, and they are uneasy, when someone talks ‘to them’ about it.
In a lot of my memiors, I write about the, Many
being lost, so, i’ll ask this several times in these memoirs; who are these, many that know they have worked for God all their lives, but ‘Jesus doesn’t’ know them on Judgment Day?
Could you be one of those, many?
Don’t write that off, but do what, The Apostle Paul wrote
in, (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV;) Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, ‘except’ ye be reprobates?
In other words, make sure, Jesus Christ ‘is’ in you and knows you.
How, many ‘phonies’
are in our Christian community today? According to Jesus, Many.
(Taken from Matthew 7:22 KJV) What Jesus said, we must
accept.
Paul wrote to the Corinthians; By which also ye are saved, ‘if’ ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
(1 Corinthians 15:2 KJV)
According to Jesus and the Apostle Paul, many ‘have’ believed in vain.
Jesus said; Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
(Mark 7:7 KJV)
Churches sliding down hill
B eing born, back in the middle of the Great Depression, I grew up with the King James Version of the Bible. Also growing up in church, I tried to serve God the best I knew how. I also had friends and associates in different denominations. I learned different people who, claimed to be Christians, lived ‘completely different lives’ then, ‘others who claim to be Christians’,
especially in the, Holiness
Churches.
Many of the ladies in these Holiness Churches dressed different, and you could tell, they
