The Road to Prosperity book was birthed out of discovering and exploring the Palmetto Trail, which is right off his property between Pomaria, South Carolina, and Prosperity, South Carolina. It has nothing to do with the pursuit of wealth, power, nor prestige, but it has everything to do with allowing oneself to connect with God’s creative beauty along the road to Prosperity. It’s on the road or near the road to Prosperity where friends and family shared unique moments and ideas—many of which are written in this book.

He lives alone but shares the beauty and uniqueness of his property with schools, civil organizations, and at-risk youths and children. The boot camp, man-made beach, extensive fruit trees, and composting garden are just few of his creative ideas through his unique small-farm upbringing, military experience, and schooling, all of which helped equip him with a desire to function in a diverse and change climates. Many adventures, heart-touching and romantic experiences, creative imagery highlights The Road to Prosperity.

Jerry L Lane is one of twelve children of the late Abraham and Ella B Lane . Raised in the rural town of Morris Station, Georgia located in Randolph County. Educated in the Randolph County School system and graduated from Randolph County Comprehensive High School In Cuthbert, Georgia. After graduation of High School he Enlisted in the United States Army and served twenty one years; received many honors, awards and decorations. While in the Army he met and married Ms Evelyn Ray of Boston, Massachusetts and the had one daughter Crystal Nequess Lane. After retirement from the Army he attained his undergraduate degree; Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with Regents University of New York, located in Albany, New York. He earned his Master of Divinity, at Erskine Theological Seminary, in Due West, South Carolina. He is fortunate to have been given the opportunity to served as local pastor from West Germany to South, Carolina where he witness and shared God’s Word. During which time he lost his loving late wife of 26 years to her well fought battle and gained real meaning of life do to breast cancer. He continues cherishing the time he spends with his daughter and three wonderful grandchildren (Omarion Hammond, Cameron Hammond and Raelyn Hammond). He values being an intricate part of their development and life. Currently, he shares a meaningful relationship with Tyona Rose Singletary. Whom he shares many inspirational and motivational adventures. He resizes along the Palmetto Trail between Pomaria, South Carolina and Prosperity, South Carolina. Even though he is fully retired; Through the “Shown them We Care Foundation” , he do volunteering with at risk youth and children.

    The road to Prosperity

    U NDERNEATH THE CRISP clouds of a late winter sky, I take a journey alone on this trail. Needless to say I have lived in this area for quite some time. Even though I desired to, I have never gone on this trail before.

    This particular morning, my sweetie and I decided to take this journey together. We ensured we had our walking gear on and dressed for the weather and trail. Not sure what to anticipate, we wanted to make it fun and exciting. We both enjoy body condition training, hiking, and mountain climbing. However, this road to Prosperity was something exciting.

    Leaving the beauty of our property and entering the trail started out with us observing the terrain. We observed the beauty of ponds along the trail. And then we start seeing nature at its best. What beautiful exotic views of weather-formed shapes of trees and rock formation in the deep valleys from over the years!

    We stopped and took pictures of endless beauty of many shapes and sizes. We saw trees forming many shapes of the human body. We saw the head tree, hair tree, eyes, ears, nose, lips, arms, hands, legs, and butt. It seems like all nature came to witness this special day. We saw deer drinking from the streams and assorted birds nesting in the tress. We took pictures of this one unique sparrow nest, which seems to invite us in for a visit. I know it’s a little injection, but we are at one with all nature. As
