Good JuJu - Jerry L. Lane
Seasons of Life
Seasons come and seasons go ...which ones and how much no one knows.
They represent the good and bad, the joys and sadness. The exuberance and chaos; the depth and height or... combinations.
Been there, done that. The cycles which ushers in the seasons of life.
A life stemming from recklessness into blessings.
Dealing with the cycles of heartache, pain, disappointment and shame to the cycles of sunshine, joy and success.
I recieved many scars along the way (within /without), from the many blows I endured as the result of my decisions from chasing the wrong things.
So, I left searching to find this place where my heart is satisfied.
As I look into the mirror of my actions, thinking of them sometimes hurts my brain.
Over and over again are the seasons of life which challenge my reasoning.
When will I learn!
Embracing the blessings long enough to give into recklessness, as well as, choosing recklessness and being rescued by blessings.
So, where is the power to overcome?
Perhaps, seasons are ways to give up and own up to my responsibilities.
It’s here where one experiences the breathing of life again.
Maybe it is this new life of inner choices which will determine my outward results.
It is no doubt, this is how I deal with my seasons of life.
Hidden Code

, lies the opportunity to be selected as one of the elite football players to participate.
A bit nervous yet, energy emerging which stirs the willingness to complete.

The whole immediate family was there to cheer me on.
Even though every detail was covered by the parents, responsibilities were placed on both boys and parents to ensure that recognition was in place.
Yet, between the boys determination and parents cheering ensured us that the boys did a top notched performance which stood the secret code to give an invitation the second day.
At the leaderboard, everyone gathered to see how their time in each event compared with other competitors. Families gather around as boys exit the field checking the score cards and making sure their photos were taken.
Keep in mind that only the top ten in each event were posted on the leaderboard.
Emerging in two of the five events, taking 3rd and 6th place, we slowly exited the stadium as the excitement wore off from not knowing if I qualified for a Sunday’s invite.
Needless to say, I never received an email nor call for an invite.
Not because of my performance but, because of the hidden code.
With disappointment and confusion came a deep sense of depression overshadowing the meet.
Knowing that in spite of having bronchitis I weathered the cold air and gave my best.
This hidden code is out of my control.
Imagine their decision to not give me an invitation of required information which I didn’t have access to.
No definitive answer cast doubt on such events.
The hidden code of not knowing.
However, family used this occasion to
