Dear Mommy,

I first would like to thank God for choosing you to be a grandmother to my children and a mother to me. I thank God for you mommy. You have paved the way for me and taught me the meaning of compassion. You shared in some of my triumphs and tears but somehow found ways to support me throughout the years. I know there were a lot of things I kept from you but after reading this book you will get to know the reason for all the pain I caused you. During my ungrateful moments, it was me who was hurting me. There is a saying hurt people, hurt people. I stand now asking for your forgiveness and insuring you that nothing you have done has gone unnoticed or forgotten.

You are my superwoman. Get your tissue ready because

after reading my book, the tears are going to flow.

There will be tears of happiness and sadness, because

you never knew how I was suffering so badly.

Kind and most gracious Father thank you for choosing and allowing me to be a mother to your children. You first blessed me with Daryl on Christmas Day in 1987. He was born 3 months early at home weighing in at 1lb 12oz in my mother’s bed. After giving birth to Daryl, his heart stopped. We were headed to Jackson Memorial Hospital, but the trauma unit could not
