INTRODUCTION

In all human understanding, it is known that marriage is uniting together of two people i.e. male and female to start a family.

It is an institution which originated from God Himself. When God completed the creation of the earth, He created a male called Adam and He saw it was not good for Adam to be alone. So He took off his left rib and created a woman called Eve whom he became his wife. Woman means born of man’s flesh. Genesis 2:21-22. In Genesis 2:24 says that a man shall leave his father & mother and he will cling to his wife and become one flesh.

In Mark 10:9 the Bible says, what therefore God has joined together, let no man separate them.

Therefore, Marriage is a journey, institution whereby it is very essential and it is not to be taken lightly. It has to be taken seriously.

This Book has been created out of my strong desire in my heart to see marriages being happy, joyful, peace and successful every day. I got married on 31st July 2004 and I came to realize that marriage is not just one special day of the wedding that you celebrate together with your families & friends but rather it is a journey of living happily and joyful throughout your marriage life till death.

My journey of marriage has been so joyful since I got married because I had decided from the beginning of my marriage life that I will never be unhappy nor sorrowful no matter what circumstances might arise.

You know I have seen and heard so many marriages being unhappy or even separated which is not the will of God to be so. That’s why it was burning in my heart and I started encouraging young generations, even young spouses whenever possible to know the real meaning of marriage and why marriage is very important as a Christian.

Marriage is a gift from God as it is a sign of human & divine love from God. Couples are required to speak the words of encouragement, love to each other because God is love and He is the one who ordains the marriage, and in addition, the love that unites spouses is also an image of the love which unites Christ & His Church.
