About this ebook
His adventures, as told in the book, contain conversation starters for parents reading to their children or children reading with one another. As Rockne explains his past, he talks about topics that many children can relate tophoto albums, given names, learning rules, and having fun even while breaking those rules.
Reading to children is known to have positive impacts; research has demonstrated benefits for children like creating feelings of closeness, understanding the world around them, and fostering brain development. Animals (especially pets), family, friends, favorite places, and adventures are favorite topics. Rockne knows them all!
Mary Sherrick
Mary Sherrick lives in Wisconsin with her husband, John, and youngest son. Retiring after 30 plus years of teaching (and loving it), the family moved to live on a lake (her idea) near her oldest son, watch the grandchildren grow up (her and Johns idea), and enjoy all the hobbies dabbled in over the years (everyones idea). A voracious reader, one of her bucket list items is reading her way through the childrens section of a library. Reading to her grandkids and introducing them to new ideas keeps her on her toes since the grands love everything from dinosaurs to ancient Egypt and cars/trucks to superheroes. Mary has loved dogs since she was a child, and while she has always owned Boxers, she appreciates all breeds and enjoys their antics. Rockne belonged to a dear uncle and her cousin and she found his adventures intriguing and amusing. She hopes you will too.
