The Art of Waiting: Realising Every Success Lies in Mastering a Process
()
About this ebook
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD (Psalms 27:1314).

About the Author
This
book is dedicated to my beautiful wife, Grace, who encouraged me to continue writing even in times when I had nothing to write. Whenever she spoke, the Holy Spirit would pour amazing insights. You are a true helpmate, Grace.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
—Isaiah 40:31–1
INTRODUCTION
Eleven months after relocating to South Africa, I found myself reflecting on things I should have achieved as the year was coming to an end. It was unavoidably clear that I had achieved nothing in that year. Waiting for permits in a foreign land was not as easy as I thought. The thought brought a flood of memories.
It’s a fact that in our worlds and our lives, we are likely to be forced into stagnation or put on temporary pause, as we wait along the many queues of life. Life is a constant bombardment of many issues, circumstances, and storms. In some moments, you need to take a deep breath inward and then outwards, stand still, and choose what really matters in your life. Negativity can fade a beautiful picture; many young men and women hold visions in their hearts as they wait for the right time to manifest.
So much information is fed into our system as we wait for goals to be achieved. If we are crowded with nothing that supports our goals, we may forget the things we are waiting for. This is necessitated by some unnecessary things that occupy our daily lives that we must trim off. If waiting was a movie, I would be envisioning pictures like hope, disappointment, frustration, joy, endurance, and patience coming into play.
Waiting depicts a moment of inactivity whilst anticipating a result. People go through a lot of emotions whilst waiting. Let me draw you closer to what may be familiar:
It’s on the twentieth of the month and pay day is the twenty-fifth; you don’t even have a coin in your coffers, and you are waiting for the next five days to receive your salary.
Anxiety grips you on your first trip to a dream destination. You barely slept the eve before the trip. Also, as examination results are being announced and the rest who passed have been called, you are sitting on the edge, waiting to hearing the announcer call your name.
If you’re pregnant in your third trimester and are due to deliver in four days, you may be curious to see what’s been growing in your womb; you want to see whether the baby looks like Mommy or Daddy. A lot of questions cross your mind.
Thus, waiting without quitting is not for the faint-hearted. As you read this book, you will discover the real you,
