About this ebook
Rick Waters
Richard (Rick) Waters was born in Muncie Indiana in the 1960s. He developed a love for reading books at an early age as depicted in his poetry. He loved all kinds of stories and poetry so began writing His own. He was an ordinary boy with an extraordinary mind. While He started working at an early age, His love for writing never faded through high school, a stint in the Army, and owning his own businesses. To this day, he still writes what he calls thoughts on scraps of paper. Unfortunately, after 45 years or so of writing, all was lost in a fire. So he began again and recently He started sharing His poetry on social media so it would never be lost again. He received rave reviews!

THE BOY
He was growing up hating everything. The boy was constantly abused by life since the day he was born. The son of just a little girl who struggled everyday just to survive.
On the corner was a dusty little old book store. He went in to see what he could steal. All day he stayed reading one book after another.
A little old lady said they had to close. She gave him a book of poetry and said please come back tomorrow.
He left that little old dusty book store with a love. A love for words…
R. Waters
Playing in the woods one day, someplace He was not supposed to be, He had found some old concrete ruins. It had caves and cubby holes and a creek running alongside. He imagined it to be a castle. A place of solitude.
There was a den of baby fox as well. He saw them playing about.
Waiting for the weekend he was going to camp in this place! He raided a dumpster on the way. When darkness settled in, his candles came out. He scattered the food he had brought all around. He could see their eyes reflecting the candlelight. The food was their binding spell! He had memorized his first audience! Pulling out his paper He began to write. With Castles in Far off Lands in His mind! His pencil was his magical mystery stick with which he would write tales of great adventures!
R. Waters
My Dragons carried me and all my mystical friends to faraway worlds
So that life and fairy tales could begin.
When we have to go, they say all the magic has died away but we always leave a trail of fairy dust behind
So the magic never really dies
