    This book is

dedicated to the strong men and women who are sincerely striving to walk with God through the many vicissitudes, adversities, and complexities of life. Regardless of what you face, remember the Word of God declares, God’s anger is but for a moment, his favor is for life. Weeping may endure for a moment but joy comes in the morning. Until morning comes, embrace God’s favor and keep walking in faith as you travel this Christian’s journey.

To Cynthia Cythni Green, one of my favorite cousins and a great source of inspiration, thank you for dragging me to church and showing me how God will always honor hard work and faithfulness. You are indeed the Talk of the Town all because you have always been the Face of Favor.

    A Christian’s Journey

As you travel this Christian’s journey, laboring as hard as you always do,

Remember, Jesus is always there, and he has paved the way for you.

He has never promised the road to be easy, nor did he promise a life free from pain.

But keep trusting and believing, he has promised an eternal heaven to gain.

So when you think the people who love you should certainly understand,

Have failed to support you, instead let go of your hand,

Don’t be dismayed, troubled, nor distressed; just lay your head upon Jesus’s breast.

Tell Jesus your tribulations, your burdens, and your fears.

He has promised to comfort you and wipe away your tears.

Regardless how tough the task or how few are your friends,

Keep laboring for Jesus; don’t you dare give in. Satan is always present, just hoping to win.

Please don’t let the devil deceive you and make you think it’s all in vain.

You have accomplished. You have conquered, and in this life, you have much more to gain.

You are sure to have some discouraging days and times that you want to turn and walk away.

But hold on just a little while longer; the morning brings a brand-new day.

So what if people talk about you and turn their backs on you too?

They did the same thing to Jesus, but what did Jesus do?

He kept on doing the Father’s will even when they took him up on Calvary’s Hill.

There, he was stripped, ridiculed, and spit upon too. But he stayed there and finished the work The Father sent him to do. There, they nailed his hands and feet. They pierced him in the side.

On the cross, he hung his head, bled, and died.

But then he rose again with all power in heaven and on earth in his hands.

He went away to prepare a place for us, and he is coming back again.

So keep on pushing. Keep on laboring. Keep fighting to win, because the race is not given to the swift nor the strong but to those who endure to the end.
