I deeply appreciate my mom, Annerose Woods, my girlfriend since grade school, Tanya Murrell-Bush, and fellow author David Carlyle for reading and re-reading the Super Grandma and Super Grandpa, The Unknown Superheroes series for content, and to make additions and corrections.
My great niece, Brooklynn, and my great nephew, Isaac who are eight years old for sitting down with me one evening to view the characters, and suggesting symbols to be added onto the superheroes. The symbols brought life to my characters.
I am thankful for author and illustrator, David Harris who took the time to bring the characters and story to life.
I am grateful for all the readers, bookstores, festivals, coffee shops, social media, and media, supporting me, and my work.

Chapter 1
The Little Unknown Superheroes
While spending the night at Grandma Jeanne’s house, Marlen and Bobby put on their masks and capes, and were upstairs playing with Grandma Jeanne’s two cats, Bugger and Sassy. The boys dressed the cats in their masks and capes.
Grandma Jeanne and Grandpa Patrizio sat in the living room, and Grandpa Patrizio turned on the TV. They watched the news, and a Special News Report flashed across the TV. A family on a sinking boat in the middle of Lake Michigan.
Grandma Jeanne and Grandpa Patrizio knew the family needed Super Grandma and Super Grandpa to rescue them.
Grandpa Patrizio’s phone rang, and it was Captain Stealth, he said, Agent Wannabee, there is a family stranded in a boat on Lake Michigan, and their boat is sinking. Will you contact Super Grandma and Super Grandpa? They need to rescue the family.
Agent Wannabee replied, Super Grandma and Super Grandpa will rescue the family with help from the Little Unknown Superheroes.
Agent Wannabee hung up the phone.
Captain Stealth wanted to ask him who the Little Unknown Superheroes were, but Agent Wannabee already ended their call.
Grandma Jeanne and Grandpa Patrizio walked to their vehicles, and put their masks and capes on. They went back into the living room.
Grandma Jeanne asked, Since we cannot leave the boys alone, is it time for them to use their super magical powers?
Grandpa Patrizio exclaimed, Yes, this is the time!
He hollered upstairs to Bobby and Marlen, Boys, come downstairs, and bring the cats! We are flying somewhere.
The boys carried the cats, and ran downstairs. When they saw Grandma Jeanne and Grandpa Patrizio dressed in masks and capes their eyes got as big as golf balls. Now, Bobby and Marlen knew their grandparents were Super Grandma and Super Grandpa, The Unknown Superheroes.
Super Grandpa said sternly, Follow us boys, and bring Sassy and Bugger. It’s time for you to use your super magical powers.
Marlen and Bobby were nervous and excited. By hearing the tone in Grandpa Patrizio’s voice, they didn’t ask any questions. They followed Super Grandma and Super Grandpa down the basement stairs while carrying the cats, and exited through the basement door.
The sun was setting as Super Grandma, Super Grandpa, Marlen, Bobby, Bugger and Sassy stood on the lawn, and wore their masks and capes.
38422.pngBobby and Marlen looked at each other with big grins on their faces. They couldn’t believe their grandparents were Super Grandma and Super Grandpa, and the super magical powers were handed down to them.
Super Grandma said, Marlen, when I wink my right eye at you, I want you to look at Bugger, and wink your right eye, and then Bugger will wink her right eye.
Super Grandpa said, "Bobby, when I look at you, and pull my right earlobe, I want you to look at Sassy, and pull your right earlobe. Sassy will look at you, and scratch her right ear.
Marlen asked, Will Sassy and Bugger fly with us, too? Do they have super magical powers?
Super Grandma exclaimed, Yes!
Marlen and Bobby laughed.
Super Grandpa asked the boys, Are you ready?
Marlen and Bobby nodded their heads to Super Grandpa.
Super Grandma winked her right eye at Marlen, and Marlen winked his right eye at Bugger. Bugger winked her right eye, and they flew into the air.
Super Grandpa looked at Bobby, and pulled his right earlobe. Bobby pulled his right earlobe, and looked at Sassy. Sassy scratched her right ear, and they flew into the air to join them.
Marlen hollered at Bobby, Can you believe we’re really flying? This is so cool!
Bobby laughed, and hollered back at Marlen, No, I can’t believe we’re flying. There really are super magical powers! This is a blast! Can you believe Super Grandma and Super Grandpa are our grandparents? This is really, really cool!
Marlen laughed and then he yelled, We better keep it our secret!
Yeah, it’s our secret!
shouted Bobby.
Super Grandma and Super Grandpa flew in front of the boys, and then they flew beside them. Super Grandpa handed the boys walkie-talkies. The walkie-talkies were turned on, and Super Grandpa talked to the boys.
He asked, "Are you two doing okay? How does it feel to be flying with Super
