About this ebook

In the suburbs of the city lived a Super Grandma, Jeanne Classyca, who had two grandchildren. Super Grandma was a special agent, and she had super magical powers. She was a classy lady and believed in eating the right foods and exercising.

Not far away downtown in the city lived a Super Grandpa, Patrizio Wannabee, who had three grandchildren. He was a special agent and had super magical powers. He didn’t believe in eating healthy or exercising. One would describe him as a bit chunky, until Agent Classyca encouraged him to eat healthy and work out.

Super Grandma and Super Grandpa were unknown superheroes and worked together on cases involving saving children in danger by using their super magical powers. They each owned a safety training school that taught safety and martial arts to children to make them aware of stranger danger, stop drop and roll, cyber bullying, and more.

While they were working on a case, evidence was found in a wooden box, and they discovered their students and grandchildren were in danger. It was up to Super Grandma and Super Grandpa to catch the criminals by using their super magical powers. While they were trying to catch the criminals, something unexpected happened, and their super magical powers may have been handed down to their grandchildren.

    Chapter 1

    The Unknown Superheroes

M aria was a single mom, raising her two children. Her son, Marlen, was six years old, and her daughter, Roselle, was three years old. Maria and Marlen awoke early and ate breakfast. Roselle was still asleep. The weather outside was sunny and warm, and it was a perfect day for Mom to take the children to the zoo. Marlen and Roselle enjoyed going to the zoo to see the animals and ride on rides.

Marlen was in the living room watching a cartoon on TV, and his mom was in the kitchen making their lunch for the picnic they were going to have at the zoo.

A news alert came on the TV, and Marlen yelled, Look, Mom. There’s Super Grandma and Super Grandpa again!

Mom turned around to look at the TV.

She said, It looks like they saved a little girl who strayed away from her mother. The little girl was sure lucky to have Super Grandma and Super Grandpa find her.

Marlen asked, Mom, who are Super Grandma and Super Grandpa? Grandma Jeanne doesn’t fly or wear a mask and a cape. Why do Super Grandma and Super Grandpa get to do that?

Mom started laughing and said, They are the unknown superheroes. No one really knows who Super Grandma and Super Grandpa are, but they have a special gift and help others. Your Grandma Jeanne is gifted, too, but in a different way. She shows us a lot of love and always helps others in need. You’ll see what she does one day. Maybe, in time, everyone will know who Super Grandma and Super Grandpa are and where they’re from. In the meantime, you stick close to me wherever we go, so you don’t get lost.

    Marlen said, I will, Mom.

He walked into the kitchen and got his small blue stepstool.

He asked, Can I help you make the peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches?

Mom grinned and said, Of course you can, my little helper.

They were standing together making the sandwiches, and Mom said, Marlen, I am very proud of you.

    Marlen asked, Why, Mom?

She smiled at her son and said, Because you always listen to me and you help me around the house without me asking for your help.

She leaned down and gave him a kiss. Marlen grinned, showing his dimples. They finished making the sandwiches and packed their lunch.

Mom said, Marlen, we have to wake up Roselle and get ready to leave for the zoo.

They walked upstairs together and woke up Roselle. Marlen helped Mom get Roselle dressed, and then they all went downstairs.

Marlen went to the refrigerator and grabbed two sippy cups with ice-cold water and a Ziploc bag with sliced apples for Roselle. The three of them walked out to the garage to get into the car. Mom put Roselle into her car seat, buckled it, and walked to the other side of the vehicle with Marlen. He jumped into his car seat, and Mom helped him with his seat belt.

Mom got into the car, and they left for the zoo.

Marlen was excited and asked his mom, Can we ride the skyline and the train? And see the lions, tigers, giraffes, and zebras?

In a joking manner, Mom said, Yes. We can ride the skyline, even though I’m afraid to go high in the sky. The animals you want to see and the skyline are in the African part of the zoo, so that’s where we’ll go.

Marlen started yelling, Yeah, Mom, let’s go there!

Hearing what Marlen was yelling, Roselle tried to say, Yeah, Mom, let’s go there!

The two of them saying it together made Mom laugh really hard.

They arrived at the zoo, and Mom parked the car. Mom got out, walked around to the passenger side, and unbuckled Roselle from her car seat. She carried Roselle to the other side of the car to get Marlen. She opened Marlen’s door, and he unbuckled his seat belt. He hopped out and started running around the car. He had a lot of energy because he was excited to be at the zoo. Mom told him to calm down and to watch out for cars.

Together, they grabbed their lunch and took the stroller out of the car. Mom put Roselle in the stroller. Marlen grabbed Mom’s hand and helped her push the stroller until they reached the entrance of the zoo.

Mom purchased three tickets and they walked inside the zoo. Marlen ran in front of his mom. He wanted to see the polar bear first. Mom and Roselle caught up to him, and together they took pictures of the polar bear. Mom also took pictures of Marlen and Roselle with the polar bear in the background.

They walked up the hill, rode the carousel, and then walked the long trail to the African section of the zoo.

When they arrived, Marlen saw the skyline ride, and he took off running.

    Mom hollered, Marlen, slow down!

Marlen stopped running and waited by the skyline ride entrance. They were seated on the ride and went up into the air. Mom acted like she was scared while riding on the skyline because Marlen thought it was funny to see his mom scared.

She was holding Roselle tightly and had her arm around Marlen. From the air, they saw giraffes, zebras, antelope, ostriches, and geese. It was a beautiful, sunny warm day to be at the zoo.

They landed on the other side of the African section of the zoo. Instead of taking the return trip on the skyline ride, Mom decided to walk back on the trail with the children. She picked up a zoo stroller for Roselle, and they began walking on the trail. There were quite a few people walking up and down the trail, and there were many animals to see.

They came upon the tiger and lion area and saw a lady standing on the trail.

She was screaming, I can’t find my son! Someone, please help me!

Maria and the children heard her yelling. Maria took Marlen by the hand and pushed Roselle in the stroller to where the lady was standing.

Maria asked, Is your son missing?

The young mother was pointing her finger toward the tiger and lion area.

She was panicking and said, Yes. I think he walked into the grassy area where the tigers and lions are kept, but I’m not sure.

Maria said, My name is Maria, and I’m going to help you. My children and I will find zoo security. Please stay in this area in case your son comes back.

The lady replied, I’m Lillie, and my son’s name is Joshua. I really appreciate your help.

Maria and the children hurriedly walked down a concrete pathway, hoping to find a zoo security guard. They came upon a row of cafés and walked up to one of them. Maria was panicking. She told a café employee that Lillie’s little boy, Joshua, was missing, and that Lillie thought Joshua might be in the field where the tigers and lions were kept. The café employee used his walkie-talkie to immediately call zoo security.

He said, This is Roger at the Pizza Café. I have a lady here with her children, stating there’s a mother by the name of Lillie at the tiger and lion area who cannot find her little boy. His name is Joshua. The mother thinks her son may be in the area with the tigers and lions. The lady here is not sure how long Joshua has been missing.

The zoo security officer said, "Hello, Roger,
